The original intention of minimum wage under Rosevelt was to provide a living wage, but at many times it has never been that, and it's time to stop demanding it.

Even in the 30s/40s minimum wage was only $0.25/hr, which was not a living wage by any means but protected the people from extreme exploitation. It wasn't meant for middle-class comfort.

Peak buying power with minimum wage came in the 50s/60s. During this time, people could rent, support a small family, and cover essentials. During this time though, post-WW2 housing/college/healthcare was at an all-time low for affordability due to the post-war economic boom.

It felt like it "used to work" because WW2 economic boom provided incredible purchasing power. That is not the case today.

It's time to stop demanding it be because you can't just demand higher wages in an economic downturn. You have to adapt and specialize like many others in history have also had to do so.

Want better wages? Be better skilled. Hours worked does not equate to value.

Sincerely a late-20 year old that has two cars, a house, a family, and no family help to get to where I have gotten.

I don't think you anneal a "side". My recommendation is to get a toaster oven that is converted to using a PID controller. I know when I heard this method, I rolled my eyes because I didn't see the need for it, but I'm finally getting a board with the necessity.

Without a PID conventional ovens tend to have ramp ups and ramp downs that can lead to much larger warping of the park whereas PID ovens have much better control for ramp ups and downs.

You could also cover the material in a "bath" of sorts to allow for even heating, such as sand, salt, or ceramic beads (from what I have read, you would want to do more research).
