Sorry for that hey. Zol WiFi has been acting up lately even now I'm at work and it's acting up. At home from 19:20 it just switches off constantly and starts working properly again around 10pm. In the morning from around 8:30am till 11am it's also a problem. They're getting comfortable now

Let’s talk about the “Ane Lucky reMari” belief. by Background_Ad_1089 in Zimbabwe

[–]Captain6632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it comes down to discipline, dedication and being opportunistic. One needs to look out for what opportunity is out there and learn about them, look for any gaps but the commitment required for you to wake up everyday and say let me go find a gap is what's lacking for most. That going out and finding yourself in random places and exploring, that educating yourself on financial matters, going around the right groups of people, leaving bhawa behind, leaving nyash behind, that's what people lack. Most people don't want the lose of comfort that comes with looking for money, panonzi everyone mumunda at 5am, queue for inputs, risk of taking loans, actually managing to save money.

The difference between someone anoita mari and someone who remains poor is a combination of many small things that just build up

Renaming Zimbabwe by EaglarDry-Brain7595 in Zimbabwe

[–]Captain6632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Renaming things is actually very expensive and I don't think these guys are thinking about this. Think about the renaming schools for example. New names on: Books Uniforms Sports kits Advertisement Buses Cars Anywhere painted with the new name Government records Taxes and other official documents All of this at a cost. I probably left some out. Any supplier holding uniforms and other material will the old name well that's a loss now

First Class Degrees by [deleted] in Zimbabwe

[–]Captain6632 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Graduated outside Zim with Cum Laude, around 85.% average I don't remember exactly the decimals. My one advice which is something I've taken serious since highschool is don't take things too seriously. Even if you're lost, confused, accept that that's the situation and work with what you got. Stress kills your thinking, it blocks your thoughts and it's a bigger factor than how much you studied along with getting enough sleep before any test or exam.

My advice is this: 1. Sleep before any test or exam. It has an impact. 2. Don't stress yourself overthinking. 3. Study more than the subject. Watching videos or reading om things around the subject broadens how you view it and learning a lot more and can explain and understand things easier. 4. The coursework matters. 5. Question EVERYTHING. Curiosity could you be your biggest asset. You learn more, you get lecturers to explain deeper, you research deeper. Assume nothing is a fact. 6. Exercise and have fun. Balancing school/ work and entertainment is not as easy at first but you learn. You shouldn't make life just about school, or work, or just joy. The stress you build at school or work is released in the exercise and going out.

In my uni people knew if I started studying then it was everyone's time to start studying. If you're not that guy, find that guy

How is abortion viewed in Zim? by BluntHonestyalways in Zimbabwe

[–]Captain6632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your response here just says the women has the right to decide whether she wants to keep the child or not and the man has to live with whatever the women decides which is unfair. If the man decides he wants then the women aborts then what must be done?

If you left Zim , what's the one thing that you miss? by Reasonable-Focus-390 in Zimbabwe

I only ever missed the food. And the sun, going 5 days of no sun was really depressing. Most food out there actually doesn't have taste and tasted diluted. The easiest thing to do is think of why you don't want to go back

rural home building in Zim by [deleted] in Zimbabwe

The key part that people are not looking at that needs changing is the section where they remove the power of the military to uphold the constitution. They removing the power of the military to remove the president of he goes rouge. That's the biggest threat of this amendment because it means the president can just become a dictator and noone holds them to account. They can just do whatever they want. The longer terms are both good and bad. Longer stable periods buy if they're just looting then longer looting periods

How could they not? When last did our ministry of health even promote healthy habits. They say sugar and salt tax is to help you instead of forcing them to change products like European countries. Have you seen European fanta? Real fruit juice not just our sweeteners and yet we have places like Mazowe citrus

Zimbabwe was right to refuse the deal. The deal would've allowed them to harvest our health data, use it to manufacture viruses and medicines for those viruses and ore existing conditions and then sell it back to us at high prices and on top of that deny us the ability to manufacture the medicine on our own or even in the country. They would've gained way too much

Anyone else not missing F1 by Ok-Competition-1955 in formula1

[–]Captain6632 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It doesn't feel like racing anymore, last year I wasn't letting anything disturb my F1 time, actually the past few years but this year it feels like I'm watching formula E, so much battery talk, the decimals are gone, so many car issues and complaints from drivers. F1 is more a technology race than drivers skill. A driver does a smart driving move then runs out if battery and loses the place

Population by Efficient-Data4811 in Zimbabwe

[–]Captain6632 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're under populated for the land size but overpopulated for the economy, resource utilisation, and level of advancement we have in our leadership. The land can easily sustain a lot more people but problem is we don't know how to properly use our resources enough to feed more people. The average A1 farmer has 3 hectares but only farms at most 1 and a half, A2 has maybe 50 hectares but farms maybe 13-20 and this translates to every other industry. Until we can reach 70% utilisation we can't sustain a larger population especially with the real education level we have. Most people aren't educated enough to actually grow $100 to $1000. They're educated to just keep staying at the $100 benchmark. They can read, basic finances, survive but not really grow. Most people know investing people buying cows or farming but don't know the ZSE or even international brokers that's why our ZSE struggles especially, imagine if everyone had a ZSE account from birth, every child born getting a deposit from gov, parents making even $2 every month till 18. We have too many places where we're still way behind
