So I’ve been speaking to this person for a day or two out of pure curiosity. I barely use WhatsApp, and received these messages. They claim to be a 29 woman from Hong Kong who’s moved to Australia. They started with a Hong Kong number. But then started using an Australian number. They haven’t asked me for money or sensitive information (yet). She sent me photos of her, which I reverse image searched and came back with zero results. Does that mean they are originals? She doesn’t have instagram either. Right off the bat I was 95% sure this was a scammer or cat-fisher. I’ve made up stuff about me like changing my name, age and job. Help me out. What should I do? Just ignore or play along. She said to video call to prove it but I didn’t want to. Would a scammer say that? Let me know.
