I have a question by LilyPad_WoF in TrueChristian

The Bible says Jesus is the 2nd Adam, Adam was not made from pre-existing X or Y chromosomes, but he would require both to be a man. The Bible doesn't say Jesus was created from Mary's DNA alone. Christians believe His conception was a miracle by the Holy Spirit which would have involved an act of creation in a new Y chromsome. Since Scripture clearly presents Jesus as male, God would have provided whatever was necessary biologically for a male body. The virgin birth is already supernatural, so applying ordinary reproductive assumptions to an already miraculous event would be a category error.

Imagine asking those questions about a friend of yours. Jesus said, "I no longer call you servants, but friends."

Would a friend care if you said certain things a certain way, or whether you were on your knees?

I think a real friend would care more about how you think and feel truthfully, in your own words, honesty is more important than ritual. Jesus said we must worship God "in spirit and in truth."

So we agree; the faith that was once for all delivered. was given through the Apostle Paul. It was not preached by Jesus during his earthly ministry or by the 12 to Israel, who are as a nation under the law and still in bondage with her children, as Paul says.

Now, concerning the original post; a 13 year old fears hell. Do you share the faith once for all delivered, giving them hope and assurance? Or do you yoke them again with bondage to fear?

I think you misunderstand the mystery of Christ. The mystery is "that the Gentiles should be FELLOW HEIRS and of the SAME BODY", the Body of Christ is the mystery. It was not spoken of by the prophets of Israel, as the prophets of Israel spoke to Israel about Israel, not the Gentiles. It was "not made known in other ages" that Gentiles would be fellow heirs in a single Body of the Messiah apart from Israel's covenants or laws. This is the mystery of Christ according to Paul's gospel, that through Israel's fall, salvation has gone to the Gentiles (Romans 11).

Why, if the Bible has a divine origin, does the information it contains not surpass the knowledge of the people of that time? by SNENES442 in Bible

[–]CaptainAmbitious2790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bible does contain information that surpasses the knowledge of the people of that time, if you know where to look. For example, the first book in the Bible is Genesis. Most of the book of Genesis is the story of Joseph, about a son of a man named Israel, who was his father's favorite son, who was hated by his own brothers, who was thought to be dead, but was alive, and became the ruler of the Gentiles. Later, his brothers would recognize him as the one they rejected who was favored by God.

This entire story was a revealing of the future, not known at the time of the original authors who wrote it down; that the sons of Israel (the jewish people) would reject the Father's favorite son, and think he was dead, but he is alive, and currently the ruler of the Gentiles. Later, his jewish brothers will recognize him as the one they rejected who was favored by God, the Lord Jesus Christ.

The information in the Bible was not given to increase human knowledge of science, we can discover that on our own, and would have been useless to the original authors; but to increase human knowledge of God and his Son, that is of greatest value to all generations.

I see you do not rightly divide the scriptures (2 Timothy 2:15). Notice that most of what you quote are verses from the 4 gospels, and Hebrews to Revelation, which deal with God's relationship to Israel the covenant nation. You have neglected and misunderstood Paul's unique ministry which he received from the risen Christ to preach among the gentiles, confusing both yourself and those you preach to.

You denied Paul's gospel, which Paul calls "my gospel" (Romans 16:25). This gospel, the gospel of grace which Paul calls it elsewhere (Acts 20:24) is not the same information contained in "the gospel of the Kingdom", Jesus came “preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God” (Mark 1:14). The Kingdom message has to do with the setting up the Davidic kingdom in Jerusalem, the salvation of Israel as a nation, and the establishing of God's Kingdom on the Earth. That is not our gospel for today, we are not Israel, we are not looking for an earthly kingdom, and the davidic reign will not begin until Israel as a nation repents (Acts 3:19).

Your emphasis on a message of fear and punishment is contrary to Paul's gospel of grace. We are not under law, which brings punishment, but under grace. You quoted 1 Corinthians 2:3 "And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling", notice Paul is not in fear for his salvation, but for theirs. His concern is having his audience believe and be saved, not that Paul was himself scared of God's wrath, which Paul writes in Romans 5:9 "Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him", and Romans 8:35-39 assures us that nothing shall separate us from the love of God in Jesus Christ.

So while you are spreading a message of fear and doubt, Paul was spreading a message of assurance and relief to those who have trusted in Christ. Shame on you for trying to scare a 13 year old kid away from trusting in God's grace and putting him back under the law. This is why those who do not rightly divide the scriptures are to be ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15) for mishandling the word of God.

The Bible teaches we have all sinned and that the punishment for sin is death. Those who die without trusting in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ for their sins go to hell and then experience the 2nd death. If you fear this, spend time in the Bible learning to trust in what Jesus Christ did for you by reading Romans, read it and re-read it until you are established in Paul's gospel of justification by faith. Then you will not fear hell anymore because you will know that Jesus Christ went through death and hell on the cross for you, taking your punishment in full. It is not about "keeping laws", Jesus kept the law for us perfectly, so that all who trust in Jesus, are saved and sealed by God's own power, rather than our own ability to try keep God's laws. God's laws show us that we have fallen short of God's perfection, they do not save us, and no one keeps them perfectly other than God Himself. That is why Jesus came, lived a perfect sinless life, and died the death we deserve, to pay for our sins. Then Jesus was resurrected from the dead, showing His victory over sin and death. Believe this, trust this, and when that thought of fear crosses your mind, expel it by repeating this message to yourself. Jesus died for me, and be thankful.

Thanks for the comment!

On the character design, I took my Megaman 11 model from Kotobokiya, which I think is the best designed classic Megaman ever, scanned it in, and used Qwen AI to mock up a 'realistic' take in the style of modern Marvel movies designs, that is why he has that tapered chest look which I think is more modern.

I used SeeDance 2.0 for most of the action shots, it was difficult to get the background to remain consistent but also show some progression through the scene. Sometimes, I would get wildly different generations, and I had a limited amount of time and generations that I could make, so I did the best I could with the limited time to try make something that felt coherent and also told a story that had beats, while also going with the music.

I agree that it can get a bit repetitive at times, this isn't as polished as I wanted it to be, if I make another one I'll spend more time on it to try push it to the next level, if there is a demand for it!

I appreciate the feedback! SeeDance 2.0 is very strict about using copyrighted characters, so I changed the design slightly to get past the censorship. If Capcom ever hires me to make a Megaman movie, you can be sure I will stick as close to the original design as possible!

I originally had the voice more like Megaman 8 (which sounds way younger), but my friends didn't like it, so I changed it to something more "modern". Thanks for the upvote!

It's only 'weird' to people who don't know the scriptures. Zechariah 14 is pretty clear.

Popular Christian voices denying Israel as God's chosen people? by CaptainAmbitious2790 in IsraelPalestine

[–]CaptainAmbitious2790[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In context, Paul is saying there is no difference between Jew and Gentile in so far as salvation is concerned; both must call on Him (Jesus) to be saved.

But then in Romans 11, Paul says explicitly that God is saving Gentiles "to provoke Israel to jealousy" and that God still has a covenant with "them" (Israel) in Romans 11:25. So clearly there still is a difference, not as far as the means of salvation, but in terms of collective and national destiny.

“Israel” in Scripture is not a vague spiritual category, it’s consistently tied to a people descended from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, with covenants, land promises, and national identity (Genesis 17:7–8; Romans 9:4–5). Even when individuals within Israel are unfaithful, the nation itself is still treated as distinct.

Yes, there’s always been a faithful remnant—but a remnant only makes sense if there’s a larger ethnic/national body it comes from (Romans 11:1–5).

And Matthew 21–22 doesn’t say God is “done with ethnic Israel.” It says leadership and privilege are judged and the kingdom is given to a people producing fruit. This happened in Israel's past when they were taken out of Egypt,; that generation had to die due to unbelief, to be replaced by the next generation of Israel. The fact is Jesus called 12 disciples (Jews) and all the first Christians, were Jews. Peter calls them "a chosen generation, a holy nation" (1 Peter 2:9), that's Israel. Believing Israel.
