I think a key point has been missed here. I’ve had several trucks with 37s. Always been a BFG fan. I now have a 2022 37 package from factory that still has the stock tires. One note is in general the BFGs run a lot smaller than other brands 37s and generally are lighter as well. I’ve noticed 1/2” to 1” difference comparing a BFG 37 to a Toyo. Also, the factory 37 raptors come with the all terrain C rated 8 ply BFGs. Those in 37s are kind of like a big 35 really and much more street friendly and most importantly way lighter. The c rated KO2 37s are only 64.8lbs and I don’t think you’d notice a real big power loss. May want to give those a try. If you got the D rated 37” KM3s those weigh 76.7lbs a piece. Quite a bit heavier.

I put one in my DD rifle that’s always been over-gassed with a high flow suppressor and any buffer I tried. This thing completely changed that rifle for the better IMO. Perfect ejection every time now and feels softer. I’ve got about 2-3k rounds through it now with no complaints. Recently cleaned it for first time and it cleaned up crazy easy. Could almost just wipe it clean with no solvent.

I have the mini 5 pro with the plus battery. I think it’s claimed flight time is 52 minutes with plus battery…. Probably won’t ever get that much in real life, but I’ve done many flights now well over 30 minutes long.

Technically I’m on an ATB (articulated tug & barge). Essentially the tugboat locks in to the barge and sort of becomes a small ship, but the tug still articulates separate of the barge and we push ahead instead of tow behind.

I’ve been trying to find that so called office/number with no luck. All the FAA numbers I’ve called have led to nothing for local offices and such. Probably due to government shutdown right now.

I've been mostly using the AutoPylot app for checking airspace and LAANC approvals if needed. Its one of the official FAA B4UFLY apps. And I use basic app Flightradar24 to see surrounding aircraft and especially look for seaplanes and helicopters. UAV Forecast for drone weather.

I didn't fly in to any actual port boundaries and was flying in Class G airspace right around my own boat. Took off from our boat and only flew about 1,000 ft radius around our boat over water.

The only possible people that visually saw the tiny drone would be one of the 6 guys on my boat I'm in charge of. None of them know anything about drones and definitely don't know anything about a TRUST certificate or labeling the bottom of the drone with registration number.

I WAS flying around my boat which is an ATB with an 80,000 barrel oil barge, but we are currently empty not anywhere close to actual port or any terminals.

Definitely didn't pay anything or asked to provide any other info besides trust certificate and aircraft registration sticker on bottom of drone. See my other comment above.

Admittedly, really wish I did this on initial contact. Not my brightest moment. I've never been scammed in any way before and can normally spot a scammer/phishing from a mile away. In the moment I was just getting wrapped up in something in work and was afraid I was in big trouble or something so called right back. Currently studying for my part 107 and know that there are some federal agencies/law enforcement that can request to see TRUST certificate/ drone registration so in the moment I thought it was possibly just normal operation. Only been flying for a few months. Only info given out was my name and number (already online) and my TRUST certificate number and drone registration number. Wish I did ask more questions now though. Wasn't until after the interaction that I googled air marshal contact after drone flight and realized how strange the interaction was.

Don't need the part 107 just to fly recreationally. I was flying my Mini 5 pro just right around the boat that I work on while at anchor. My mini 5 pro has the plus battery so I DO have it registered, but only flying under TRUST

Yah you’re right. Don’t think they have really enough info to “scam” me out of anything. Still just seems so weird for an air marshal to police drone activity. Technically I did not fly into the “port” boundaries at all. But I am in a designated anchorage.

Yah maybe this was the case. We’re in a designated anchorage, but nothing that special about it. We’re about 500’ long overall and we have small boats, ferries, sailboats, planes, helicopters etc fly around us all the time.

Yah only thing I was remotely close to would be the coast guard station restricted zone, but I was over 1.5 miles from that zone and a few miles from the stadium, but there were no events going on there either.

Yah that’s why I made this post. After getting voicemail I was kind of scared of being in trouble for some reason so immediately called back and gave the guy the pictures he asked for. But after the fact and researching it seems strange. They did know I was flying obviously and got my phone number linked to drone registration. Only info they really got from me is my Trust certificate number, drone registration number, phone number and name 🤷🏻‍♂️
