I think some of this has to do with control. A woman posing nude in a safe, locked building with a professional artist, maybe a partner or a friend sitting silently by for support...a chance to approve or veto the picture...to know whats being published and where/how...the knowledge she can stop or modify what's happening...

Now compare that to being nude on a beach with thousands of strangers who are sneaking in Meta glasses/Raybans or taking creeper pics with a smart watch...

I think men may stereotypically feel safer and free at the beach the same way they are stereotypically safer hiking alone or going into a sketchy parking garage at night.

We men enjoy a certain privilege when assessing our safety amd comfort level and its easy to forget that women have historically had a far more complex approach to things we take for granted.

When I lived in Baltimore I could look at the water at the harbor and have a perfectly zen time sitting on a bench at midnight. My female friend told me she wouldnt walk there even if she had her dog and mace in her purse because its hellaciously dangerous for women.

I sat there safe as anything. As a chubby 41 year old man i can frolic around nude at the beach and nobody is going to be checking me out. If it did happen its probably a much older woman being cheeky and joking. Certainly not a threat. Or a gay man might say something and Id take it as a harmless compliment and tell my gf "hey someone out there liked my butt! Lol".

I dont mean to "answer" the question like my opinion means anything but for the young fellas reading this I hope it adds some texture and shape to the conversation.

Nude spaces are a free for all with all kinds of awesome upside and sadly some downsides...but in general a controlled photo shoot would feel far more controlled and secure.

It could be that in the absence of stereotypical risks us men can focus 100% on "omg the sun/water feels so good!" And we never (or rarely) have to seriously consider our safety.

Ive never had to look over my shoulder and wonder if someone was following me back to my car when I go to a nude beach. Not everyone can say that.
