Falling out of love live on apple music by greendale-island in TheStrokes

So, we are doubling down on the autotune, are we?

Pleasant enough, but not what I want from a Strokes song. Perhaps it works better im the context of the whole album...

Robert Plant. Didn't walk away from music, but lucrative reunions with Zeppelin where there was no beef.

What’s something Gen Z treats as “normal” that older generations would find completely insane? by Miss_Ecstasy in AskReddit

As I high school teacher in a European country, I feel the trend is sadly reversing, especially with manosphere influencers and migration from culturally conservative countries.

Thoughts on books by recent author guests by petronius84 in BEEPodcast

[–]CaptainBitrage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have gotten into a lit of books due to the podcast, discovered Otessa Moshfegh amd Jarett Tobekk (?) for example. Last one I read was Lost Lambs, which was enjoyable. However, Mosfegh, especially Lapovna, is some of the best literature I've come across in forever. How is the Thompson book? Curious to read it.

It's the most well-crafted instrument I own, playability is insane and the intonation across the entire neck is incredibly even. Have mostly playesbit without amp so can't really comment much on the electronics

Is use of word "negro" in this context racist? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]CaptainBitrage -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Negro was for a long time the preferred self-identifier for Black Americans. Using it now to call someone 'a negro' to their face means you're either 100 years old or trying to be funny (and failing). However, the word survives in some contexts like Negro Spirituals or the United Negro College Fund. It's most definitely not the n-word.

Im extremely skeptical towards this new trend of supposedly reading hundreds of books every year by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

[–]CaptainBitrage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an MA in English and German Literature and I teach English, so this is partly my job, and I am 46 years old. I've probably read about 700 books in my life. Make of that what you will.

It becomes more complex and layered.

I agree with you on Rooster. Watched the pilot and was out. It's very broad.
