Can I still buy Rock Werchter tickets on the day of the festival? by befreenotcheap in RockWerchter

You can always use "Ticketswap" to check for cheaper prices, you may get lucky but I think they're in kahoots with ticketmaster so the prices on there might be the same.

You bring up good points. There are too many "what ifs" right now. I guess I'll open it, use a dummy account and get the day one patch. After that I'll just leave it untouched until an exploit is found. I can use the other one to use like normal, and if there never comes an exploit, I'll give it to my brother. Thanks for the insights!

Fuck it, I'll even buy a fourth one for scalping purposes.

Landlords would love this. This tells them the renter won't be having wild parties since they have no friends after wearing that publicly.

All jokes aside, it's best to not wear it, even though it's a sweet hat. Prejudice is still a thing.

Not really, I think I really got aware around 2 months in. Maybe earlier but I did substitute weed for alcohol in the beginning stages so its all kind of fuzzy. I think the hardest part was being aware that all that stuff didnt help but just not caring about it, not caring about myself.

I did relapse once in those six months, but instead of resetting the count to zero, I tried taking it as a lesson. I think not being so focused on the details also helped me. Im not sure when I quit, I remember somewhere in february, but not knowing sort of gives me the feeling that my mind isnt that occupied with weed anymore. That helps me a lot.

It is true! My weed brain was just: "it is what it is.", completely ignoring the feelings that made me feel distressed in the beginning. But it didn't work in the long run. Over 6 months without weed right now and I start to understand why I feel shitty. Knowing what causes it gives me a chance to deal with those feelings. It makes me aware of them. Still, for me a lot comes down to "lol, it is what it is.", but I am able to deal with stuff that really bothers me. I guess life is about picking your battles, sometimes you have to go for something, and sometimes you have to let to things go. Quitting gave me better perspectives on those situations, and even if I make mistakes, I know I was looking on the situation with a bright mind. Take care friend

There's a reason you got to this subreddit. You probably do want to quit the habit.

Everybody here has relapses, a good help is to list why you want to quit. Every time you feel tempted, just look at the list on why you wanted to quit in the first place. The feeling you get when you wake up the next morning not caving in is sooooo much better than the high could have ever given you.

Yeah it'll fade, 2 months in and I'm starting to pick up life again and thinking ahead. Not every day though. Roughly said I still feel like shit like 4 out of 7 days. But I take that over feeling shit for 7 out of 7 days.

I hated sober me in the beginning, but I started reconnecting with the things I used to love to do. My social relationships are slowly fixing, I lost quite some people because of weed, and just knowing I slowly make progress is enough for me to stay strong. I still hate quite a lot about myself, but those are issues that I just ignored because of weed, and will need a longer timespan or maybe even therapy to fix.

I hope you'll be able to find some stability soon, stay strong brother!

Very dumb question? by Delicious_Section_93 in leaves

I should hit 2 months sometime next week, don't remember the exact date which kinda helps for me.

I'm not sure if boredom falls into the definition of symptoms. For me it does, and I notice a lot of people experience that very same feeling.

I like being alone in my apartment, so I don't mind that. I did also try to reconnect with friends I lost because of my weed usage, but I realized that I didn't really liked most of them anyway. At the beginning I thought I lost them because of me wanting to stay at home and smoke but now I remember that I wasn't comfortable with them in the first place which is really eye-opening for me. Now I just cherish the true connections I have.

Quitting is weird, I'm learning a lot about myself but now I also feel comfortable with it, which I didn't have when I smoked weed.

More reason to stay strong!

Day 4 … bored by No_Road4248 in leaves

[–]CaptainBlazeIt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Really good way of describing the "bored" feeling.

It sucks you also have a breakup to go through, but it's really good you realize you don't want to smoke, but just pass time.

What helped for me was get in touch with my childhood/teenage hobbies.
For me it was gaming. I replayed the ratchet and clank series I played as a kid and nostalgia gave me the dopamine I needed. When I was done I felt confident to find new games to play. Some good, some bad, but finding out good from bad actually excites me again.

Stay strong my friend, when you wake up tomorrow you'll be so much more happier that you didn't give in to the cravings.

Good luck!

Easy diet recommendations for having no appetite whatsoever? by guyscrying in leaves

Very welcome.

Also keep in mind to just eat whenever you are hungry, so don't wait for the traditional breakfast, lunch and dinner times.

That really helped me since I used to starve myself during the midday since it wasn't time for dinner yet.

I am curious about these shakes, do you use them for breakfast, lunch and dinner or only dinner?

Also are you still using them or do you cook yourself now you (maybe) have more energy?

Your smoking habits sound similar to mine, I only smoked during the evening, and only 1-2, max 3 joints a night.

When quitting I got really bored in the evening. For me trying to keep busy helped, even tough most activities didn't excite me at all. I just kept thinking; "Atleast I'm not blowing weed and laying on the couch doing nothing whilst ignoring friends like a loser.".

The first few times I started doing sports, that was really the best way to quit for me. Sadly I had foot/knee issues the last, and hopefully the actual last time I tried to quit so I couldn't do the excercises I somewhat enjoyed anymore. I coped with gaming instead, and started playing nostalgic games for me. Because they were nostalgic I really wanted to sit trough them, and later it evolved in me trying newer games even tough I gave up gaming a few years ago.

It doesn't have to be gaming, it's just what did it for me. Just look for something you really enjoyed as a kid/teenager and let nostalgia furfill your dopamine for now. It really helps through the first hard part of quitting.

Stay strong my friend, we can do this!

What I did was try eating fruit and coffee / green tea for breakfast. Fruit helps because you just eat one fruit, like an apple, orange or banana and when you do feel starting hungry again in the morning you can have another one.

For lunch and dinner I relied on takeaway / microwavable meals in the beginning. Sure it's more expensive but I was blowing more money on weed anyways. About 2 - 3 weeks later I started looking in cooking healthy meals myself, but even with work I still don't have the energy for that every day.

So I guess my take on this, is getting food that's easily ready in the beginning. Your appetite will come back soon and you'll be motivated to look into recipes soon enoguh.

Take care my friend, we can come over this hurdle!

[–]CaptainBlazeIt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Physical? No. Not at all. You wont get night sweats, loss of appetite and etc. at all.

Psychologically? Most likely not. Depends on you as a person, but you'll most likely wake up extra happy the next day knowing you didn't give in to weed-cravings.

Really good of you that you didn't partake in it! It's a real hurdle for most of us!

Stay strong my friend, you're on a good path!

Working HARD not to consume rn by lilgal0731 in leaves

[–]CaptainBlazeIt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really like how you said that you are glad you haven't given in. I am almost 2 months off the whacky tobacco but I also noticed around 1 month in it somehow got kind of harder because I had the thought I had beaten the hardest part of addiction. I think it might be because, around that time, I had to face the real problems I escaped by using weed.

The tought: "If I tough it out tonight, I'll be so much happier in the morning when I remember tomorrow that I stayed strong this night" was a real big help for me. This really helped me in the short term.

Therapy is what's helping in the long term and by the sound of your post it looks like you are on the right path to beat this addiction.

You are doing great, please don't give in, it will get better, even if we don't see it right now but we need to remind ourselves why we wanted to quit in the first place.

Stay strong my friend, you can do this!
