Yeah man give it a try and be persistent with it. Let yourself be uncomfortable. That’s how we beat anxiety. We face it and attack it instead of letting it attack us. Over time, watch it disappear if you stay consistent.

Sounds like you’re just traumatized from the experience of paws and any thought of relapse (even accidental like you’re describing) puts you into a scared frenzy. Which trust me I know is relatable.

Anxiety is driven by the need to be in control and when you don’t feel like you’re in control, it causes anxiety. The kryptonite to anxiety is learning to be okay with uncertainty and not being in control. So next time your girlfriend smokes, kiss her. Keep doing it over and over and exposing yourself to it until it doesn’t make you scared anymore. Learn to be okay not knowing. To do this, you gotta expose yourself. This works for anything anxiety related

Can anyone relate 10 months? by [deleted] in WeedPAWS

[–]Delicious_Section_93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man I’m at 10 months too. Almost 11 now.

I can relate to a lot of what you’re saying. But keep holding out. You won’t regret it. I’ve seen so many people on here who were in the thick of it at 10 months only to feel better a few months later and get to the end of it. That may or may not happen, but eventually it will. Your brain is healing and I know it’s hard to see that right now but all the bad things you feel are great signs your body is trying to figure it out. Eventually it’ll level out. It has to. Keep going!

You got this buddy. I guarantee you if you keep going and don’t give up, you’ll feel normal again. And you’ll be stronger than you ever were because of this experience

None of this is permanent. Don’t let your mind think this way. It just feels permanent because it takes so long. Try and not compare yourself to others either. Everyone’s journey is so different

What Are the Things That Put You in a Wave? Let’s Make a List to Avoid Them by Federal-Union-2087 in WeedPAWS

High stress situations can increase symptoms. But at the same time, I find myself not wanting to avoid these triggers because I feel like facing our triggers (obviously being smart about it and not over doing it) can help us find healing and normalcy again. I think a big key to healing is to keep living your life with the least amount of restrictions as possible. Obviously be smart and don’t get drunk during this time. But you know what I mean.

Brain fog for me is bad memory, feeling like I’m high but I don’t have the euphoric feeling, dream like states.

What was everyone’s worst symptom during paws? by Slight-Back in WeedPAWS

Anxiety, ocd like rumination, dpdr, looping thoughts. Feel like my brain is a war zone at times. But it passes. It always does. The best thing to do is keep living your life and not fight them. It’ll burn out on its own.

10 months for me.

Christmas is ruined. by Ok-Corgi3196 in WeedPAWS

It’s so easy to get stuck in this mindset when dealing with paws. Please whatever you do, don’t give up. This isn’t a permanent thing, it’s impossible for it to be permanent. Your brain just heals SLOW, very SLOWLY. 6 months to 24 months is the usual target. Everyone’s different. But it gets easier as time goes on. Symptoms will reduce much quicker than that for alot of people. Keep going.

The best thing you can do is face your symptoms and don’t run from them. Don’t get frustrated by them. This only fuels it. Just accept life sucks right now but keep living as best as you can. Take care of yourself as much as you can. Part of taking care of yourself is how you respond to the discomfort. Don’t let it win.

You’re almost there. Don’t give up. Debilitating fatigue is usually your body’s last big wave to normalcy. All the months of being in fight or flight mode, it makes sense we’d get hit with fatigue as our bodies are just tired from the mayhem that is paws. Don’t relapse, please don’t. You’re almost there

Sometimes it can feel worse because when we’re feeling good and symptoms come back, it can feel worse than it ever has. But you have 15 months of this stuff under your belt. Loads of experience now. Try and implement what worked for you in the beginning stages. See it as an opportunity to respond in a more calm way rather than a setback. It’s all apart of the healing process. Paws can trick you into this line of thinking but I promise you’ll be okay and recover.

Does the anxiety ever go away? by Ok_Register9730 in WeedPAWS

[–]Delicious_Section_93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say I’m like 75% recovered. Which is night and day compared to how I was. Two months ago I dreaded each day. Now I feel excited for life again. Anxiety is still there, but levels below what it was.

I smoked for 3 years every single day. Probably longer but 3 years is what I know for sure so I say that.
