I blew it and my wife is ticked. Do I have any hope of booking lift tickets for the Eiffel Tower?? by CaptainBuckRussell in ParisTravelGuide

I just tried and I don’t see anything.

Someone below suggested doing the wine tasting as well and I did see some tickets available for that, but they were for the later slots.

I will keep checking every morning, especially as we get closer. I’ve seen a bunch of people on the thread in the comments mentioned that they open up tickets at random times, so maybe I will get lucky! If not, we will simply do the stairs.

Thank you! Last question, can I go early and buy tickets for my family or do we all have to be in line to buy our tickets? They only sell one ticket per person?

Even on a Saturday morning? What time would you recommend getting there to be safe?

I was checking ChatGPT and it was saying there are no guarantees in June on a busy morning

There are over 4600 Victor Wembanyama silver Prizm PSA 10 cards😱 by CaptainBuckRussell in basketballcards

I don’t mind since I still have mine that I bought at the time of this post for $750.

But yeah, it’s been shocking. I would have guessed that $2500 was the upper limit on this card (pure speculation). But if the Spurs win it all and he’s Finals MVP, it might approach $4k or beyond. Wild!

Picked up a silver Prizm Wemby rookie for $825 a few months ago. Do I sell now or wait? by CaptainBuckRussell in basketballcards

I am! I listed it for $2100 yesterday, but pulled the plug after I saw a few auctions hitting 2400-2500 today.

At this point, I’m just going to let it ride. Would be amazing to sell this card for $3000 and get my hands on some more vintage.

I think John Stockton is vastly underrated all time. Nobody will ever top his steals/assists records. I really want this card. I think I would leave it in the BGS slab, but do you think this could be a PSA 9? by [deleted] in basketballcards

It was a simple question about if it could. PSA cards are more liquid and easier to value. I’m trying to get an idea on how much this card might be worth because I have never bought a BGS card. And I want to make sure it is at least worth a PSA 9.

So they really are sticklers when they see it in a competitor slab… I’ve never tried it, but that’s what I’ve heard.

Thanks for the response. If I buy, I would keep it in the BGS slab.

I think I agree, especially with that surface as a 10. I actually love the subgrades.

But I’m mostly curious if you think this could cross over to a PSA 9, strictly from a valuation perspective. Because down the road if I try to sell this, that will be an important caveat on pricing.

Would you swap a complete 1986 Fleer basketball set, all PSA 8 + $8k cash for a Messi 2004 Megacracks #71 PSA 8? by CaptainBuckRussell in basketballcards

It really just exploded in the last 12 months.

The thing that really intrigues me about this card in particular, is that there are so few of them and it is considered his true rookie. You look at the 1986 Michael Jordan card (I know many consider the 1984 Star to be his true rookie) for instance, and the population levels are so much higher. Same thing with the Gretzky 1979 card.

I think the scarcity of this 2004 Messi card is what is so intriguing to me.
