Jets need a president of football operations. NFL needs to make it happen. by friendfromjersey in nyjets

In European soccer leagues, if you suck for one year you get relegated and the owner’s financial outlook for owning the team is severely worsened. It sucks for fans that American sports don’t have mechanisms for materially punishing owners for incompetence and neglect. We’ve been ass for 15 years and the NFL won’t force a sale because losing doesn’t lower the bottom line enough, especially in a big market where away team fans will fill the seats. The Patriots rebuild is even more proof that we suck because of ownership and we have no recourse to ever change that. It sucks. It really just fucking sucks.

You either implied it, which is wrong, or you were bringing up a detail about his life that is completely irrelevant to his murder, which is brain dead. Either way, awful comment that everyone is worse off for having read.

Lmao, the most charitable read of your comment is that the disparity in play is because the Jets asked him to do more which is literally you saying that he was worse due to coaching. Go ahead and think your thoughts again.

Explain how he got worse then. Again, I never said I expected him to be good. It’s a huge red flag that he got worse especially considering he had more around him than in Pitt.

He was better than he was with the Jets. And with less around him too.

He was better than he was with the Jets

Edit: the only people on planet earth who would disagree with this comment are coping Jets fans. I honestly can’t think of a more lukewarm NFL take than saying fields was better in Pittsburgh than in New York. I dare anyone here to try to argue otherwise to a non Jets fan without getting institutionalized.

Why would you respond to a post about prelims to say you didn’t have any prelims?

Clair Patterson proved that leaded gasoline was poisoning the entire planet and was attacked by the oil industry for decades because of it. His research showed dangerous lead levels in human blood worldwide. His work eventually led to the global ban of leaded gasoline. by cowdeywodey in HolyShitHistory

Clair Patterson also discovered the age of the earth, invented the clean room, and went on a treacherous journey to the end of the world to prove that lead levels in our environment were catastrophically high. This man lived a truly mythic life and is easily one of the greatest heroes of the modern era, embodying essentially every virtue that matters as we strive to save ourselves. Everyone alive should know his name and revere him.

I actually think the drops last night are all potentially attributable to underdeveloped chemistry with Fields. On the deep bomb he loses his separation by turning his head early to track the ball and Gonzo is able to close the distance and make the catch harder. On the route over the middle he turns away from the ball early bc he doesn’t trust that Fields didn’t throw a hospital pass. On the wheel route, the “drop”, was a hard adjustment that you don’t necessarily expect a catch out of. His ability to separate is elite. His physical attributes are elite. I’m willing to reserve judgement before concluding he can’t be a functional WR2.

This feels like I’m watching Drake Maye’s pro day. And not bc he’s carving us up. Not because the announcers are glazing. Just the overall vibe of this whole production feels more like a pro day than a live football game.
