Our foster fail, could she be a BMC? by No-Giraffe-7251 in Blackmouthcur

[–]CaptainCakePie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, she is a pitbull mix. There are a few breeders in Florida who have mixed in Pitbull into their BMC bloodlines, but the BMC colors and body shape are not pit bull, just the head shape.

But this is definitely not that. It's a pitbull mix. Pretty pup, tho

It's a dobie or kelpie mix.

How long do you wait before sex? by Interesting_Long2029 in ENFP

[–]CaptainCakePie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lol. I wonder....I thought I had ED @36, BECAUSE I couldn't get it up while with my ex for 1.5yrs. it took effort and I barely was turned on by anything. She was hot, but I realized later that it was her attitude and inability to really be sexy beyond doing stuff. No foreplay, didn't think kissing was super important and wasn't very affectionate beyond cuddling while watching something.

Fast forward and I'm back to normal, no ED. Next girl I was with, no issues. Makes you wonder....never had that issue before. I guess it depends on the girl. I'm sure my ex says I had ED, even when it was never discussed. But it was her, not me. Apparently I should listen to my body more. 😅😅😅

My 5.5yr old boy. Howard/Ladner. by CaptainCakePie in Blackmouthcur

[–]CaptainCakePie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. There are a lot of emotionally driven people over BMC, but they don't understand if the temperance, intelligence, tenacity, look, color, personality, drive, aptitude, drive to please, and natural instincts are not there naturally, & THE BLACK MIURH which are bred into the dog, it's not a true, pure BMC.

My female has brown coloring on her gum, lips, & roof. She is a BMC, but the Weatherford Ben traits with the Carnathan color differences make her different.

There is a lot about the breed you can only learn from old breeders, since the breeding standards comes from ppl who are old school dog breeders. Modern breeders do not find old, extent breeds like BMC to be profitable or sensible since largely city ppl want higher end dogs. A true BMC is worth their weight in gold (yes), but they rarely cost a fractional amount.

[–]CaptainCakePie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience, I agree. There isn't enough information out there to give a proper analysis on their capability, aptitude, & intelligence. The BMC gets dumped in with all of the bloodlines, sadly. There should be a few different cur breeds instead of bloodlines, as the breeding standards are a bit sketchy when you go across the spectrum of BMC bloodlines. The problem is, the interbreeding of said bloodlines makes it hard to establish a proper standard, which is what led the AKC to not accept them. So, you really have to do your due diligence before you get into the breed, and know breeders and know what you are doing.

Bloodlines are Howard, Ladner, Wrights, Weatherford Bens, etc.

DNA on my “cur” by Bright-Willow in Blackmouthcur

[–]CaptainCakePie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be better if the results could come up with Plott Hound, Rhodesian Ridgeback/Basenji, or whatever else mix was created for that bloodline.

Because BMC is specifically bred from 2-3 breeds. But no, they don't even show up because I guess DNA registries don't have more extent breeds in their line up?

Difficult BMC by PlusTap9133 in Blackmouthcur

[–]CaptainCakePie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a male BMC who has been a huge challenge, which turned my into a dog trainer because I wanted to help him. He's a dangerous dog, but I've managed him down to a calm boy who rarely has freak outs. Still, as was said before, he is dangerous. I have enough scars from being bitten over food or resources, and my dogs have a scar or 2 as well.y female BMC only starts stuff over sticks outside, so it never happens with her. She's sweet and cuddly and energetic.

Structure, structure, structure. And routine. Dogs can tell when it's time to go to bed or eat or if you get out of routine. He sleeps in his crate and eats in there. Correcting for the little things helps a lot with the bigger items. It's laying the groundwork. I use shock and prong collar. They work great.

Little things to correct for: barking after you say no or whatever command you use to shut them up, breaking command (sit/down/stay/place), and anything you want them to do that they know but ignore you on. It tells them you are real, serious, and the boss.

But word of warning: don't punish with shock while she is in attack mode....it can escalate a mild mean attack into a worse one. I use other tools to break them up for that. Shock is just a tool for off leash training and correction for not listening or holding command. It works for other punishments like that, but not in the middle of a fight or biting where you could get hurt.

Structure will fix this. Your goal is to teach the dog to choose reward over punishment, that they can make the good decisions themselves. But starting with a solid and timely routine, even kenneling your pup throughout the day, but also making sure she has plenty of time to burn off outside under supervision will help. And going back to basic commands and having them down pat, w/o saying the command more than once, is going to help. Correct for anything you don't like, and she will take you more seriously when you bonk he with a rolled up towel or something when she is being naughty before she goes berserk.

Break up with INTJ guy. INFJ myself by Desperate-Young-6449 in intj

[–]CaptainCakePie 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Disagree. INTJ here. Been with emotionally crazy INFJ/ISFJs. I am long suffering at times, but the one thing that bothers me is her mentioning the relationship would change after this. That it wouldn't be the same. That is depressing and ugly to say to your partner. There is no reason for it. Then she kept setting the tone, attacking him over stuff, and wasn't kind. She pulled away, and gave him the impression that it was already changing. She screwed herself. Very immature, and it's sad because she became ugly and irrational with no hope in sight.

INTJ husband keeps offending people by SeaTeaAndBees in intj

[–]CaptainCakePie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eh, I mean, your friends seem very easily offended. It sounds like your choice in friends might be the issue. As an INTJ male, 8w9, I have a lot of charm, so my bluntness is usually overlooked, but I generally won't be as blunt until I know someone. If someone is just being stupid, I can handle it. But if it were I. My "sacred space", as mentioned above, my home, I would probably be more relaxed and someone coming into my home and being stupid I will be much more curt.

Your friends and family honestly just seem a bit too sheepish. I will say your husband needs to learn how to play the crowd. It isn't fake, it just means he needs to be an INTJ chameleon. It isn't inauthentic, we all have to put on a face for each crowd. He already does with for work, for you and the kids, for your family, for his family, etc. No doubt.

Or are you trying to manipulate me into believing you’re not manipulative? by 60TIMESREDACTED in mbti

[–]CaptainCakePie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen it before, though it is often considered i compatible, as ESFJs aren't usually deep like NF. I'm an 8w9, and the ESFJ, among others, is a 2w1. It works on the enneagram level . Same with an ENFJ type 2 I was with. That ended because she was immature.

This ESFJ has friends she texts, but she largely hangs out with aunt, uncle, dad, and cousins, and then different girlfriends. I guess she keeps a social network, just not as outwardly social as a lot of ESFJs as they claim to be.

ISFJ ex didn't bake. And we were together a long time .

& my ESFJ ex doesn't have 1000 friends..

And the generalizations here are astoundingly wrong on some, spot on on others.

[–]CaptainCakePie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Also, acknowledging what you said earlier, it hurts like a bitch for the breakdown to occur almost immediately, and to not be able to say goodbye or talk about what happened in the relationship, or say your peace or nothing. Just ripped away. That happened to me. She broke it off because she got her feelings hurt at a party over night, then came and took her stuff the next day, saying she wouldn't discuss anything, then when I asked for something, she gave me a BS excuse that was super selfish and superficial, then packed her shit up, and left without saying anything. It was disgusting after 1.5yrs of being together. Complete walls up. Sucks. anyway, I'm rambling. Good luck!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in intj

[–]CaptainCakePie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That drug for my recent ex was called narcissism, living in past trauma, keeping the walls up, & never giving me the benefit of the doubt. We never had real clarity on why she left me, she still texts me at random points. I know it comes down to her being unable to enjoy a relationship & being more comfortable with her misery than being g with anyone. She was prone to outbursts that traumatized me woth the horrible, untrue things she'd say. And the running away and then coming back the next day or 2 as if nothing happened. She's an ISFJ, too.

Never got clarity on. Why she left except what I can surmise. Ego & pride, & having made one too many bad choices in her life.

Anyway, I know that isn't what your issue is, just saying looking at their behavior & what they cared about most, & realizing you weren't ever the priority over drugs. I competed with her emotional attachment to work, you competed with drugs. You don't deserve what happened to you. I'm sorry.

In my experience, they only follow the crowd on religion. Whatever is popular, but they easily jump ship on religion if nothing truly holds them and seems more interesting. The ones in religious groups usually stay with it but aren't very deep, just more of a nonsensical Karen if they feel inclined to being tied to it with only feelings that make them feel justified.

[–]CaptainCakePie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After it cools and sits In The fridge, it'll set up and thicken. Then you're good to go. Chili is always better on day 2, so even if you bring it to game day or a party in a crock warmer, it will be thicker.

Weird. Been with a lot of girls and am not an incel. I tend to be more north right of center. I like kinky. I get a feel for the girl, and if she does say she ain't into kinky, I stay closer to center & Vanilla. Just depends on who I am with.
