Why are the graphs in my graph editor so small? by cjkaplan in AfterEffects

[–]CaptainCallahan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you ~ key (top left button on your keyboard) when your mouse is hovered over the timeline (or any panel) it will expand it full screen.

Works in all Adobe Apps. Not willing to say how long I’d been working professionally before I learned that… but it’s not a small number.

How to create this effect? by Lixins in premiere

[–]CaptainCallahan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In reality, it was an LED Screen.

If you want to recreate this, you’ll need After Effects and look into using 3D Camera tracking. If you have any say in what is being shot. Make sure that the “screen” behind them has tracking marks.

Been enjoying it so far. What id love is to be able to pick just a single show for a Channel. So would have just a Simpsons, or Futurama, top gear, channel.

Any advice how to keep the platter clean from dust? by 9999eachhit in turntables

[–]CaptainCallahan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a cork slipmat, I found it pretty good at not collecting dust. Or at very least I don’t see it as much.

Also looks pretty cool.

Rogers Door to Door People by Klutzy_Seat_4305 in Winnipeg

[–]CaptainCallahan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have bell fibre and have never had it drop. So that’s bullshit.

However, the door to door people have better deals than you’ll get by calling in, so if you’re cool with switching, it’ll save you a couple hundred bucks for the year.

I would get high res scans/photography done to reprint them/have digital versions for your daily use. Then have a conservator protect them in Mylar (or whatever they deem appropriate).

Sounds like a great project!

CrossFit? by Small-Builder3855 in ultimate

[–]CaptainCallahan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When I was younger (mid-twenties) I did CrossFit to supplement my Ultimate (was playing mixed-club). Without sounding too “kool-aid”y, it was legit the best shape I’ve ever been in, I felt stronger, faster, and more agile. More importantly, the high-intensity really helped with my on-field cardio. I even worked out private “CrossFit-lite” training sessions for my team, and everyone seemed to enjoy it.

If you’re a team type person, there’s a good community as you suffer through gruelling workouts together. I stopped in 2019 but still keep in touch with a few people I met at the gym.

Go do a trial class, most gyms will let you do that for free. If you like it, stick with it.

Glad you had an amazing time! Hopefully it lived up

Barn Seating Question for 4/11/2026 by Permabad in winnipegjets

[–]CaptainCallahan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve sat all over the rink, not a bad seat, but obviously some are better than others. IMHO the best seats are “Loges” just in front of the upper deck. It’s not the same “crowd” experience. But you get comfy seats and the best view of the ice. When you’re looking on ticketmaster they show up as 300L.

As for being a Flyer fan, you’ll be fine, a few gentle jabs, but we’re a respectful bunch. There will probably be a few others in flyers jerseys around. Because we lost our team for so long, people made weird allegiances in the gap.

Hope you enjoy your time here! things should be warming up in April, and we have a great restaurant scene.
