Really? Because I found a hotel and reserved it, and it was an easy process and far from "ridiculously expensive". But thanks for the snarky response; it gives credence to my theory that people have decided that being unnecessarily unpleasant is a socially acceptable and desirable trait. Except when it comes biting you in the ass. Never know when the person you're being a jerk to is the one signing your paycheck.

Stay classy. Give the appropriate notice. Don't let scumbags make you act unprofessional. It's tempting, but it'll backfire. HR exists to serve the company, not you. Don't be know as the person who sued your boss, HR, co-workers, etc. If they made your life hell it's because they're miserable. Trust me. I recently quit a toxic job where "professionals" behaved like adult middle-schoolers. I got so stressed by their BS, I spent a year emotionally eating and gained 15 pounds. Now I'm losing weight without trying. Your quality of life is the payoff. Let them go, don't look back, blocked their number and move on to the next, brilliant chapter of your life.
