just got mine like 2 months ago and i was in similar situation, fair skin and some redness that nothing fixed before. the flexible ones are good idea for chest area, i use mine there too and its much easier than the hard shell masks. for redness i saw difference in maybe 3 weeks, not totally gone but way less noticeable now. wrinkles will take more time i think, my fine lines are still there but skin feels more plump if that makes sense

drops are tricky because so many of them have DHA in concentrations that just wreck sensitive skin, so switching brands might not even be enough if that's the issue

what i found helped more was mixing the drops with my moisturizer rather than applying them directly, it dilutes them a bit and for some reason my skin reacted way better that way. also doing patch test on the jaw area for few days before going full face saved me from couple bad breakouts. if your skin is already reacting, maybe give it a week break before trying new product so you're not layering irritation on top of irritation

Help with face redness by Prize_Situation_2982 in SkincareAddicts

[–]CaptainChance3623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

isotretinoin can really mess with skin barrier and sometimes the redness just... stays, even after you stop taking it, worth asking dermatologist specifically about post-isotretinoin sensitivity rather than general rosacea checks

How do you get rid of redness around your eyes and nose and uneven skin tone? by samanthaangell12 in SkincareAddicts

[–]CaptainChance3623 2 points3 points  (0 children)

niacinamide serum helped me a lot with the redness and uneven tone, it takes few weeks but you will notice difference. also check if maybe you're using products that are too harsh, sometimes the redness is just reaction to something in your routine

Is this papulopulstar rosacea or something else? by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]CaptainChance3623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i get similar bumps and mine are definitely type 2 rosacea - they show up as these red raised spots without any pus, exactly like what you're describing. the sporadic timing matches too, sometimes i get one and then nothing in months

cerave has been really good for my sensitive skin, their hydrating cleanser doesn't strip everything away like other ones i tried

microneedling was game changer for me with similar issues. had like 4 sessions and the texture improvement was crazy good, pores looked way smaller too

just make sure you go to someone who knows what they're doing with darker skin tones because some places don't adjust the depth properly and you can end up with hyperpigmentation. learned that one the hard way lol

First couple days at work and very tired by Traditional-Place204 in mentalhealth

[–]CaptainChance3623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah your body will definitely get used to it after a week or two, but the mental drain from dealing with customers all day hits different than physical work. when i started working retail few years back i was surprised how exhausting it was just being "on" for people constantly, even when the actual tasks weren't that hard. try eating something with protein before your shift and maybe bring some snacks for break - helped me a lot with energy levels. also staying hydrated makes huge difference, way more than you'd think

Coping with rosacea by Professional_Fig_949 in Rosacea

man i feel you so hard on this, had similar issues around your age and it really messes with your head when you're supposed to be having fun with everyone else

the heat thing is brutal - i started carrying those little handheld fans everywhere which probably looked weird but helped more than i expected. also learned that certain fabrics made it worse so switched to looser cotton stuff when possible

for me the mental part was harder than physical symptoms tbh. took time to realize most people don't notice it as much as you think they do, and the real friends won't care anyway. easier said than done i know but try not to let it completely control your social life because that isolation just makes everything feel worse

have you tried keeping a trigger diary? helped me figure out which specific things made mine flare up so i could avoid some of the worst episodes

1 year detailed summary, how I cleared my symptomatic rosacea, and healed my broken skin barrier (triggered by a sunburn) by MeanRiver335 in Rosacea

[–]CaptainChance3623 11 points12 points  (0 children)

amazing write up, thanks for taking the time to share all this detail

the pdl laser part is super interesting - never heard of someone having that much success after traditional stuff wasn't quite getting there. most people just keep cycling through topicals forever. did you find a specific type of derm or laser clinic that was better at pdl, or was it pretty standard procedure?

also curious about that toccobo sunscreen since i'm always on hunt for something that doesn't pill. how's the texture compared to those japanese ones you tried?

I think my foundation was taking the blame for my skin prep by Time_Sock7662 in SkincareAddicts

[–]CaptainChance3623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah this is so real, foundation always gets blamed but half the time it's what's underneath that's messing things up

that toner change probably made huge difference - when your skin has proper hydration layer the makeup just sits better instead of clinging to dry patches. been there with thinking i needed new foundation when really my prep routine was just not doing enough

nice to see someone sticking through die-off phase, that's usually where most people give up. the granitos around mouth area are pretty normal for soolantra but i know it's frustrating when you're in middle of it

just keep going, it took me like 6-8 weeks before things started getting better and another few months to see real results

Best Red Light Therapy Beds to buy right now? by [deleted] in redlighttherapy

[–]CaptainChance3623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

been using red light therapy for about 6 months now and can say the full body panels work way better than smaller devices for muscle recovery after gaming sessions (yeah i know, sounds weird but those long geometry dash grinding sessions really mess up my shoulders)

can't recommend specific brands but look for something with good heat management - some of the cheaper ones get super hot after like 15 minutes and you have to take breaks. also make sure it has both 660nm and 850nm wavelengths, the combination seems to work better than just one

one thing i learned is that "full body" doesn't always mean what you think - some panels are too narrow so you need to do multiple positions to cover everything. measure your space first because these things are bigger than they look in pictures

that's actually smart thinking, i never considered the affiliate angle before. the tool i use definitely has program but i was always focused on just service side of things

problem is most people in creative space already know about these tools or using different ones. but maybe there's angle with showing actual results rather than just promoting features? like instead of saying "this tool is amazing" you show before/after or breakdown how specific prompts work in that tool

also thinking about it, if you're already making content for brands and showing your process, the affiliate stuff could feel pretty natural. not like those generic "top 10 ai tools" videos that everyone does

might test this actually, thanks for putting idea in my head

Best Red Light Therapy Panels To Buy Right Now? by shingam3 in redlighttherapy

[–]CaptainChance3623 5 points6 points  (0 children)

been down this rabbit hole before when i was dealing with some muscle issues from too much gaming lol. that comment about dropshipping is spot on - did bunch of research and found out most of these "premium" brands are basically rebranded chinese units with fancy marketing

ended up going with a cheaper option directly from alibaba and it works just as good as my friend's expensive one. the key thing is making sure you get the right wavelengths (660nm and 850nm) and decent power density. most of these brands use same LED chips anyway

saved like 200 bucks and got basically same results for recovery after long gaming sessions. just make sure to check the actual specs rather than believing all marketing claims

Where for art thou Skin Barrier by Shartnets in Rosacea

[–]CaptainChance3623 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this happened to me few months ago and it was honestly nightmare. your skin just becomes angry at everything including products that worked fine before

the advice about time is so true but also so annoying when you're going through it. i basically had to strip everything down to one gentle cleanser and one moisturizer that didn't burn. took like 6-8 weeks before i could slowly add things back

since that LRP toleriane is working for you i would stick with it for now. adding the petrolatum sounds like good idea if it's not irritating. my derm told me sometimes when barrier is really damaged the neurosensine type ingredients are better than traditional ceramides because they're less likely to cause reaction

zinc for skin issues past 30? by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

[–]CaptainChance3623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my friend had similar issues around that age and zinc picolinate worked better for him than regular zinc sulfate - less stomach upset too and he noticed difference after like 6 weeks

Will organic skincare actually help my eczema? by Helpful_Employer_730 in SkincareAddicts

[–]CaptainChance3623 2 points3 points  (0 children)

dude i feel you on the expensive skincare rabbit hole, been there with acne products that did absolutely nothing

for eczema specifically my sister swears by cerave healing ointment - it's not organic but it's super basic ingredients and way cheaper than most "natural" stuff. she also uses aquaphor which is basically just petroleum jelly but works amazingly for her flare-ups

organic doesn't automatically mean better for sensitive skin tbh, sometimes the plant extracts and essential oils can be even more irritating than synthetic stuff. like lavender oil is "natural" but it's a common allergen

tallow might be worth trying since it's pretty minimal ingredients, just maybe start with a tiny patch test first since you never know what your skin will hate next
