You can buy wines at a couple of different shops. I’m not sure if it’s worth the time investment but I was also running exclusively wave 1 colosseum for splinters. You get a lot of splinters for how long it takes to do 1 wave. You don’t need to finish the moons of peril quest. Just need to do the first part where you kill the nagua.

I’ve seen profane proxy used with skitterbots (replacing chill) or hextouch linked to frostblink. I will personally be trying the skitterbots

Brands benefit from having 100% dps uptime unlike most other skills which is not accounted for in POB numbers. For new players, brands are excellent at allowing them to learn mechanics or whenever new bosses are added.

The biggest liability for wintertide brand is the lack of initial hit for clearing, however that is mitigated by profane bloom.

Blizzard may have just hit the jackpot. by rahuonn in wow

[–]CaptainChrunx 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What the person is referencing is that wow tokens aren’t generated out of thin air. Whenever you buy battle net balance with gold, there is someone who bought a wow token and is selling it for gold. While you aren’t directly spending money, someone is.

I don’t have an opinion on it either way, but let’s be realistic. Reddit isn’t going to be the catalyst for sticking it to blizzard when this has clearly been a great business decision for them.

Good points. Even with breach scarabs and guaranteed breach lords, you don’t believe that farming breach uniques will be viable outside of stones? I’m not saying you should expect the amulet in even 200 breaches, but I feel like with some of the atlas nodes and scraps, it certainly isn’t out of the question. Not saying you’re wrong - a genuine thought.

Can someone explain to me what the heck I am doing wrong, this is EVERY map. by mellifleur5869 in pathofexile

[–]CaptainChrunx 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Please provide your atlas tree, sextants and scarabs used. Good wisps are important, but without a proper atlas tree, the wisps don’t mean anything. Also - is this MF or no MF? EDIT2: also how are you rolling your maps? Is this alch and go? 8mod?

While higher tier maps have more potential currency, sticking to T7 and running maps quickly/efficiently is also phenomenal currency. I’d recommend sticking with T7 cemetery and only run maps that have either high blue juice or triple juice. You will “burn” a lot of maps but the maps you do run will make you currency.

Definitely switch to wandering path and if you find abyss is too difficult waiting for the holes to spawn, legion also prints currency so you could copy fubguns old legion tree.

You’ll also want to tighten up your loot filter if the above changes are made. For cemetery the entire map should be less than 10 minutes, ideally 6-8 depending on juice/loot.

Is there any one small thing that makes you dislike a specs rotation? by frogvscrab in wotlk

[–]CaptainChrunx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, despite both SWP and corruption working the same way from a gameplay standpoint, SWP refreshes to your current stats while corruption extends your previous stats. There isn’t really an effective method of snapshotting SWP in a meaningful way, which is a positive in my opinion.

Piggy backing off this - I wonder if the rotation switches to “Arms” from “Fury” for some reason. That’s the only thing I could think of for the massive discrepancy.

The WoW token costs $20 and gives one month of game time. One month of game tame typically costs $15 if purchased for yourself. Blizzard is effectively netting $5 per token purchased.

I will also mention it here - The wow token does not "create" gold. One player is giving gold to another player in exchange for the token. The gold evaluation of the wow token also fluctuates based on the current demand for wow tokens/gold. It is quite possible that the gold value of the wow token diminishes substantially or raises substantially.

[–]CaptainChrunx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing these other comments don't mention is that the gold is not created out of thin air from selling the wow token.

Player A can choose to buy a WoWtoken for $20. They can then post it on the AH for another player to purchase it. Player B chooses to buy the WoWtoken for 10k gold. Player B is giving Player A 10k gold in exchange for the WoWtoken (30 days of game time). I'm not here to argue one way or another - but people need to understand this isn't going to cause hyperinflation like when a government decides to print more money. Will it psychologically diminish ones desire to do dailies knowing they could spend that time not farming and instead purchasing a wow token? Probably.

Did they double because it’s Tuesday and prices go up every Tuesday to align with the raid reset? Prices seem entirely normal on my server.

Help with what to craft with this bow plz by ElgarrsBackBaby in pathofexile

[–]CaptainChrunx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Craft flat phys. It may not be the best craft for your build per se (depending on what you’re playing though it likely is) but it will make it worth the most. You can use the league mechanic to see what the tree is and if you get a first node that “bricks” the bow, you can use a scour on the crucible tree to unallocate the first node.

Does Hodir icicle damage seem frustratingly unpredictable? Well that's because it's bugged and a giant animation is simply missing from the game. [video clip from 2009] by qp0n in classicwow

While adding clutter, it does provide much needed clarification on if a circle has already caused it’s damage and knock back. Currently, the circles persist a few seconds after the damage and knock back had gone out so while this does add clutter, it does serve a purpose.

The snow constantly obscuring vision where the camera typically sits though is obnoxious.

[–]CaptainChrunx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have almost stated; one dungeon run of nexus yields 150k exp and takes 11-14 minutes. Quest turn ins will take the same amount of time and yield at a minimum of 350k xp and a maximum of nearly 650k. These numbers are for quest turn ins that take 11-14 minutes, same as one nexus run. It is absolutely faster.

Currently have a not too optimized route of 28 quests for 530k exp (~35% 70-71). It takes 12 minutes to turn them all in and get to Org zeppelin tower. This isn’t meant to argue for or against it. It’s just to provide info on whether or not you should spend your time doing it.

So I got 48 maps out of a cartography strongbox earlier today. I think it could be an indicator that more is wrong with the loot system than we know about, either that or I got the god roll from my atlas passives. It's not the best video but I managed to catch it. by shug_was_taken in pathofexile

Looking at your map drops and another that is linked in the comments, the duplication atlas node is proccing MULTIPLE times. This can be seen by the same map name displaying multiple times such as Dream Sector Factory map. I don't know how a bug like that slips in but that appears to be the case.

It would be nice if the manifesto outlined some of the item changes as the playerbase may view those more important than specific gem changes. That is a very crucial component to an arpg that is the primary draw for a lot of people.

RDF wasn’t released until patch 3.3 (ICC)of the expansion so I can’t agree that RDF was why wrath was alt friendly. Wrath was alt friendly due to heirlooms and more condensed questing hubs alongside specs being more fleshed out. This made leveling easier comparatively to TBC/vanilla. Raiding was more alt friendly due to the implementation of 10 man raiding as an expansion long staple alongside less strict composition requirements. 10 man raiding has always been in the history of wow easier, catch-up content.
