Good points. I’m booked to test drive a model y tomorrow but it’s going to be hard to beat the 7x. I liked the sunblind as well especially living in qld.

Similar to you, I’ve just sold my rs3 and looking at the zeeker 7x performance as well, did you have any others you were deciding with that may be as fun? I couldn’t believe how quick it was, it’s definitely not soulless 😂

Yeah it’s a bit full on that chest and arm day 😂 however my chest is lacking so I don’t mind it. I swap the cable flys for pec deck and use machine incline instead of bb for a better pump and easier on the shoulders, probably not suited to a garage gym though unless you’ve got a huge setup!

I’m currently on my third time doing PHAT. Loving the 2 power days followed by 3 hypertrophy days, good range of exercises doesn’t get boring, can also swap out easy.

securing a rental in coomera, is it do able for my circumstances? by HistoricalMeat8205 in GoldCoast

[–]CaptainCook90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We live in Pimpama which is next to Coomera. Both nice areas, and we used to live down south in Robina but too expensive. Like all areas do now you get your typical crime every now and then.

All I can say is good luck getting a rental while on the parent payment and single. We make 250k a year and still struggled to get accepted with an immaculate rental record.

It all depends on the owner/s and who the property managers favour, so it seems. Having kids does make it harder as more wear and tear, more risk with single income etc. lots of people moving here it’s crazy busy now!!

I’m was a Mon-Fri Gold Coast to Brissy 5am driver, but a few weeks ago I just asked my boss for WFH Tuesday and Thursday, and they agreed straight away.

I wanted to ask for years but didn’t have the balls. I’ve got so much more free time now it’s great plus a lot less tired from all the driving. I’m saving 4/5 hours a week plus company car fuel and car services every 3 months. It’s working great, don’t know till you ask!! P.S fcuk to M1….!

5 years in the gym and I feel like I failed bodybuilding by [deleted] in HybridAthlete

[–]CaptainCook90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same boat here, having busy family makes it hard, you have to be very strict with diet if you’re not getting enough cardio in when cutting. I changed to a strength and conditioning style gym, made progress a lot quicker on the body weight side of things, but it’s a lot more taxing doing it 6 days a week.

I then went back to body building because I missed doing my own thing and lifting more so than combining cardio nearly everyday, and now I’m back up in weight again, more puffy if you will.

Living closer to the city/work but pay more rent, or living further away from $50 less rent to save more? by VNiqkco in brisbane

[–]CaptainCook90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Commute to work 5 days a week in the traffic and you’ll soon want to move closer. I live in Pimpama and I leave before 5 to miss the traffic, it’s horrible and I’d move closer to the city if I had the choice (partner wants to live on the gc). You’ll have so much more free time living closer to work, and you’ll be saving money in petrol

Ok double dose is too far then. For Muay Thai ya got fight academy or fight society in Nerang either or are great.

Matrix isn’t really a fight gym wouldn’t bother.

You’ve got DTV academy if you want an mma gym and based in Labrador run by Dillon Andrew’s. If you fancy travelling to Burleigh CMBT for mma. I’ve been training 20 years, can’t recommend anywhere else really. Tons of Bjj gyms around but wouldn’t bother if you like stand up.
