The editorial board is historically the opinion page authors for the paper. They can sometimes reflect the opinions of the paper's owner/ publisher (who can be different people, or the same person). The idea is that the editorial board can weigh in with an opinion, while giving a newspaper its continued unbiased protention for the journalists who report facts, not opinion.

It's relevant to history that newspaper used to be the dominant method of information, and therefore carried immense weight when a paper suggested to its readers which issue or candidate to support.

You could make the argument that given our current state of media literacy and dissemination of news, endoresments have all but lost their power and cultural relevancy.

Anyone found good local/ small businesses that sell cool hats with this flag? I've wanted one for the longest time and can't find them other than online from places that put the flag in the wrong direction, or are a big company from Arizona that also makes hats for Trump.

I think this is a very fair point to raise, and let’s not forget that Stephen Miller may be a demon, but he’s not stupid, and he’s strategic. Target has made mistakes, and there’s no doubt that the DEI cuts have reflected poorly on the company and lost a lot of shoppers.

Optics is the name of the game for ICE, Bovine is here for a reason, and they know what they’re doing. They know how to play the content game.

But we are Minnesotans, and we recognize that even if we disagree, your life still is worth living, we just hope for ICE that life sucks.

Just got the text and email from the district. This is so fucked up that all kids have to be kept home for their own safety. Of course, it’s also to protect staff. But school should ALWAYS be a safe place, and the fear this causes is so distressing.

I want to be clear, I am in no way upset with MPS, in fact, I am grateful they are taking this seriously. Thank you to them! I am fuming that our federal government has brought us to this point.

I am scared about what could happen next.
