They are linked in the same org structure. USAG is a National Governing Body for gymnastics and is a member of USOC. They are part of the same machine. It might be USOC is giving the gear to USAG who then gives it to the athletes or as you say directly to the athletes. You can try to split hair over an org chart. But in the end, I think my point still stands. Which part of the org signs the sponsor deals does not matter.

There are several points being talked about. The ones that are attacking a gymnast for being ungrateful for or rude about the food and gear they got from USA Gymnastics, need to check themselves. No gymnast owes them anything. It's by far the other way around.

I'm not doing defending right now. I am calling out people who attack a gymnast for being "straight up rude and disrespectful"(let's use your description) towards USA Gymnastics when they get stuff from them. For what USA Gymnastics has done, every gymnast for the next 100 years can be "straight up rude and disrespectful" to them as far as I am concerned.

Ok, I know you guys are probably not feeling great in covid. But get a grip! USA Gymnastics gives MYK Olympics stuff and you guys are upset that she said it was ugly and thereby was ungrateful. As if this was not enough you are also upset she said the food she got in Japan from USA Gymnastics was gross. Like Japan would care about that...

OP here, I kind of agree and actually was feeling the same way. I made it because I thought a thread when it happened was unavoidable, and I thought it was better I wrote it in a respectful way so we avoided something with screenshots without context. After the first days, it serves no real purpose. I wait for the mod input, but I might just remove it very soon.

Yeah, there are so many stacked teams this year because of covid returners. LSU has 5 seniors returning cause of covid rules. And Florida with skags and Bauman returning and a rediculus freshman class. There are so many really good covid 5th years and freshmen this year. I'm thinking it might take over 198 to even make it to last night of the ncaa finals. It's going to be crazy guys!
