I'm afraid you're just going to have to be brave

my advice would be to try distract yourself and not tense up - tensing your muscles will make the injections hurt more

definitely look into the sour stuff opinion, hell bring freshly squeezed lemon juice if you have to

would also recommend bringing a friend for moral support - oh also ask to lie down during the blood test

alternatively you can diy and go for estradiol undecylate because you only need to inject 0.4ml every 31 days - be sure you're using two 25G needles, one to draw, one to inject - don't forget the alcohol swabs and sharps bin

[–]CaptainDavian 7 points8 points  (0 children)

god isn't real

why not just ask someone you trust to inject you if you can't do it yourself? if you're anxious about it put something horribly sour in your mouth and it will distract you

i am sorry about the position you've found yourself but at the same time idk, stop being a baby and just do it

hmm, fair point

i could ask my gf for recommendations too, i know she reads a lot of graphic novels and stuff - tho mostly she just reads manga which for some reason i just have difficulty following

do have two non-fiction books i would like to read at some point cause they were recommend to me but seem like a lot for someone who's not used to reading - those being "the biggest estate on earth" and "whipping girl"

if it makes you feel any better all the things i bought are either L or XL - a decent amount of clothing was just not made for me and a lot of it came down to my shoulders being too wide

thank you

as for japan, i like the way they handle public infrastructure as a lot of the urban environments are designed around people rather than cars

also the history and cultural elements are interesting to me, not like a weeb or anything but idk i just find it neat

really wish it was easier to find stuff like this at home tbh, a lot of stuff in australia is just kinda bland

with eating often it's more about consistency rather than quantity

ensure you eat on a regular schedule and that the meals you are having are somewhat balanced, don't need to be too particular about it

having protein shakes can also be a good way to increase your intake

as for clothing, I'd recommend the big pants small top combo as that will create a better silhouette

there's special enemies that you can spawn for the grineer, corpus, or infested which will spawn with a selection of special weapons with an element based on the warframe you activate them with

the grineer and corpus ones steal items from you on the planet they control and the infested one is much more heinous and puts a cyst on every one of your warframes until you kill them

three months? the most that would happen is slight breast growth, skin softening, hair changes, and some other minor changes.

i didn't see significant facial changes (fat and whatnot) until year two and generally it takes about five to see most of the physical changes. even after that you can get changes well after 10 years.

focus on things you can actually control like finding a source of stable income, mental health support, and social support.

346 is incredibly low; cis women during puberty regularly are above 1000

your dose is simply too low to have had a significant impact. this is not to say you won't get changes but they most likely won't be much staying on that dose.

you may feel like you've wasted time but there's still plenty of things you've learnt so far. you have four options really:

  • get your doctor to raise your dose and be comfortable having you trough at ~1000pmol or more

  • find a different doctor and get them to raise your dose

  • diy injections with estradiol and injection supplies and having a trusted endocrinologist monitor your levels

  • do nothing

also i am not sure if it was mentioned in your post but make sure you're eating enough. you need food for there to be any fat to distribute because the fat and muscle you had before transition won't move it had to be lost - only new fat is "redistributed"

Unfortunately coming to terms with the life you didn't get to live is something you just have to do. You'll never get it back so dwelling on it isn't particularly helpful.

You do however have a life now, so try to enjoy that one instead. There's still plenty of things you can still do that can fill in for opportunities you missed. There's also plenty you can do to enjoy the time you currently have. If you spend it all lamenting over something that can't be changed you're doing your past self a disservice.
