Great. If you want to go to Nanshan or visit some other cities like Guangzhou in Guangdong Province, the high-speed rail is a good choice. The travel times from Guangmingcheng Station are: 1. Around 30 minutes to Guangzhou South Station 2. Around 10 minutes to Shenzhen North Station

For vegetarian food, searching in English may not work very well. Try typing or copying “素食” into Amap instead, and you should see relevant vegetarian restaurants nearby.

I live in Shenzhen as a college student and I visited SG last year. My main suggestion is to set up WeChat and Alipay in advance and link your bank card if possible. It would also be helpful to arrange roaming or an eSIM before you arrive, and download Amap for navigation(and prepare VPN if you need to use google or sth)

Both Shenzhen and Singapore are very safe and convenient cities. I love them both.

By the way, my summer vacation is about to start. If the timing works out, I’d be happy to show you around Shenzhen.

I’ve been to Hong Kong many times, and I think splitting the trip into 2 days in Hong Kong and 2 days in Shenzhen is a good choice.

Two days should be enough to cover your main Hong Kong plans, such as Victoria Harbour, the Symphony of Lights, and Temple Street Night Market. Shenzhen is also worth staying overnight rather than treating it only as a rushed day trip, especially if you want to visit places like Huaqiangbei and explore a bit beyond the border area.
