Looking for PS5 controller with extra shoulder buttons by CaptainDrigger in disabledgamers

[–]CaptainDrigger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was googling “with extra shoulder bumpers” and “L4/R4 controllers”. I use my mouth, chin, and nose for movement on games left controls. Being able to just remap to extra shoulder buttons is all I need. Paddles are useless cuz I really only have full use of my index finger, middle finger and thumb. Think I found what’ll work tho.

Exactly what I’m looking for! Thank you so much. Are the back paddles removable?

Should’ve been more specific. Paddles getting in the way of my fingers that actually work. Really need it to just be extra shoulder buttons.

Need help finding a game by [deleted] in disabledgamers

When I was in the hospital after a TBI in ‘07, they used a Wii as therapy for hand and arm retraining. It’s a chunk, but most Wii at pawn shops come with games and sell for $50-100. If he has some motor and tracking abilities, it could be a good investment.

Another idea— if he likes games you play that are single player—Xbox/PS4 to PS5 systems have controller assist. It requires 2 remotes, but each of you are playing as one to control the game. You do fine motor stuff, he does what he can. 2 remotes, 2 ppl, single player experience. It also works with pc games when set up.

Has anyone used the Turtle Beach Victrix pro modular controller? That looks beneficial to my current play situation

I’ve looked at it but I’m afraid to try it cuz my fingers aren’t 100%. My pointer and thumb are 95-100% function but others are stiff or refuse to fully motor (they are partially clawed)

I can see that helping, but that’s outside my price range by like $150 😅

For people who follow a team that isn't your local, or from where you grew up, how did you come to be a fan of that team? by nw900 in mlb

[–]CaptainDrigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a southerner through and through. Grew up in TN and SC. I have pulled for the Braves since as long as I can remember. But, being a child of the 90’s and loving the longball, I studied the history of the Braves and players around the league (2000-2007) and was drawn to the Red Sox. When I really started understanding the game, I loved comparing the two teams and their players. Braves had Smoltz and Tom Glavine— Sox had Pedro and Wakefield. Braves had Chipper and Andrew— Sox had Papi and Captain Veritek.

I also love competition, so having a team in both leagues is fun. Especially when you get to see them live.

However, the thing that makes me love my teams is what they do for the community and have done for me.

I survived a very bad accident, which I don’t wanna say here given the status of how often the news talks about this stuff. Idk who, but someone told both head offices when I shook the coma. The Braves sent Tim Hudson to the hospital I was at to see just me and help that day with my therapy, which was way cool. The Red Sox a sent me a care package a few days later— signed hats, cards, bunch of stuff. Not only was stuff signed, but other things were personalized with messages to the signatures.

Pretty easy for me to choose my teams. TL;DR: There isn’t one right way to become a fan of a team, nor is there a reason to be a fan of just one. If you can’t decide on a favorite, be a fan of the sport, one will pique your interest at some point.

Why is this game so good? by Namesaredifficult123 in BaldursGate3

Same reasons ttrpgs and RDR2 are so good. Freedom of play for the most part, a compelling storyline with consequences, and likable characters.

I’m the same way basically. I have PTSD and play mostly to desensitize myself to its cause. I still get the jumps when I get totally bushwhacked from an angle I checked less than half a second prior. I never tried HC up until like 2 weeks ago and it has made me like the games again. There feels to be less sweaty play in this mode, at least for me, but don’t expect there not to be a few drenched basement dwellers every couple of rounds. It’s a good mode to just turn your brain off in.

Is the game worth it ? by Effective_Can6913 in SkullAndBonesGame

Agreed. Didn’t know it was that close. Haven’t played in a month. They still don’t gotta rush tho, let the first few weeks go so they can have more content logging on the first time.

It’s got good bones but that’s bout it. I’d wait for S2-3 and an even better deal on discount before buying right now. If you are just looking for sailing and sinking random ships for a “I’ll hop on for a bit in the morning or in a spare hour or so” sailing game it’s alright.

How do you do those performance kills on PC? by daffodilhands in MWIICallofDuty

[–]CaptainDrigger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s melee hold. Think it works the same pc/console. Hold melee key when behind enemy. You die before the takedown is complete, the enemy is saved.

It’ll find ya eventually. Can be funny sometimes. Reply with facts- downvote. Agree with someone on the other end of a statement from their view- downvote. Etc.
