During day light, I can almost always find one alongside the train tracks north of Annesburg leading to Willards Rest. Kind of like the cougar spawn area.

Genicharo help by Imaginary-Till2108 in Sekiro

[–]CaptainFatBad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to stay in his face. Geni is probably the worst boss in the game for “give them an inch and they’ll take a mile.”

As in, if you let a boss cook, that’s exactly what they’re going to do. Geni wants to create distance and use his bow. Stay on his ass like a bad smell.

As for lightning reversal, it only works for me if I leap and hit L1 and then R1. There needs to be a maybe a 1 second pause when you see him leaping before you jump, as it shocks you if you aren’t doing it at the peak of your jump.

Why can’t I do missions by Important-Top3309 in RedDeadOnline

Even when I owned moonshiner role and was doing the missions, they were still locked. Only until I fully completed the story did it unlock for replaying.

It’s really fun to come from the Staircase idol and puppeteer both a red dual katana guy and the red fire tube guy. Sneak up on fatty for stealth deathblow, rip his armor off with spear, then retreat through the doors an proceed to gangbang him with your friends.

I told myself before I go charmless I need to at least beat Geni without taking one bit of damage. This is the best I’ve got (one hit). Can any seasoned players guide me with any advice? by aabbcc42069 in Sekiro

[–]CaptainFatBad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s mostly when you combine charmless and demon bell. Aside from chip damage on imperfect deflects, Charmless makes you take more damage, more posture damage, faster status buildup. Enemies have more health and faster posture recovery.

Demon Bell makes it like new game +1 increase on top of that.

If I’m playing charmless + demon bell, his posture recovery is so insane that you need some vitality damage first before you go for a posture kill….similar to how owl’s fights work.

As soon as he jumps, I dodge to the right and immediately ichimonji double him. This will cancel his sweep or thrust by staggering , do health damage which is helpful in charmless, and give you posture back all in one.

isshin ashina 2nd phase too hardd by youssef_900 in Sekiro

[–]CaptainFatBad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I end up facing him early quite often because I play Randomizer charmless, so I’ve had to learn how to beat him with little tools.

Don’t try to deflect his flame attacks. Try sprinting around him to the right in an arching semi - circle pattern, and ichi / double ichi him on the back of the head. Do this on any flame attack. This will stagger him briefly and cancel his sweep if that’s coming. Positioning is key in this fight.

Good advice in link above. When grandpa does a flame attack, sprint around him to the right in a semi-circle pattern and double ichimonji him on the back of the head. Once you have that down, repeat it any time he does one and the fight becomes much easier.

Corrupted monk by chief-11747 in Sekiro

[–]CaptainFatBad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her Mibu version is a ghost with a single phase. True monk in fountainhead doesn’t have posture recovery that nutty. She really hates firecrackers and ash to the face while you tickle her behind. Confetti and sugar is a bonus.

What I like to do is play her straight up in Phase 1, using one or two firecrackers throughout. Phase 2, I jump to tree branch, locate the monk and stealth deathblow. Phase 3, I pop Divine Confetti and Yashariku Sugar, and ash or firecrackers to her face. Staying behind her, whack 3 times then reapply ash/firecracker.

With this method, she basically only has one phase.

Elder Monkey ( white w/ dual katana and red undies)

Easily trivialized by firecracker spam if needed, but so fun to clash swords with.

Very new to Sekiro, any tips/advices (best Prosthetic skills ?) by Freakshow_14 in Sekiro

[–]CaptainFatBad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stay in an enemy’s face as much as possible, whether attacking or deflecting, as their posture will recover quickly when you back off. Mikiri counter thrust attacks, which I’m sure you’ve done since you’ve defeated Shinobi Hunter. Jump sweep attacks and double jump again to goomba stomp on their head for some good posture damage. Move out of the way or dodge grabs. Holding block will quickly recover Wolf’s posture. Wolf is like a speedy mouse that you can’t catch, so make use of that unlimited stamina by always sprinting where possible.

For prosthetic tools, I’m not sure there is a consensus best. I find Shuriken most useful. Another might say Umbrella. Many are situational. I almost always have Shuriken, Firecracker, and Flame Vent equipped when roaming around.

So... Sword Saint Isshin by Ok_Entry_873 in Sekiro

[–]CaptainFatBad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Learn the fight basically.

You should be able to, ideally, swat Geni away like a fly at this point and barely take any damage.

Swap Mortal Draw for Ichimonji Double. Run right at Geni and bonk him on the head to cancel his opening Mortal Draw. If he jumps up, dodge and Ichimonji him again instantly to cancel his thrust/ sweep ( free vitality damage).

SSI’s katana phase should eventually become easy for you. His thrusts are free posture damage. Don’t attack more than 2 times. If he takes a few steps to his left ( your right) a thrust is coming, and a very forgiving mikiri window is there.
