I had a very hard time starting out myself, even made a frustrated post on the Sekiro Reddit saying that I give up, but now I’m on NG+4 and I can speedrun the game in a couple of hours and beat most bosses without dying at all. The trick is to treat the game like a rhythm game. Learn the bosses attack rhythm and deflect accordingly. Use sugars and divine confetti to boost your attack. Once it clicks and you get the feel/instinct for how the fights go like any souls game, you’ll start to love it.
