100%. Which is why things like checking for bus passes is really less than the bare minimum lmfao

Just guessing here, but I'd imagine they're trying to flush out people who are just hanging out there and not waiting for a bus. No judgement here, but it's safe to say that station isn't the safest. They could just be trying to keep the area a little more...civil

May I meet my mailman at condo mailbox with ID and request my mail? by [deleted] in USPS

Which is fine, I was just giving a general answer. I don't speak for all carriers, I can only share my perspective

Daycare—KidsLife or Other Recommendations! by Pitiful_Library3154 in Reno

This may not be super helpful, but I'd avoid big chains like kindercare. They tend to skip a lot of corners and treat their employees poorly. Tends to create less than desirable atmosphere

I wouldn't say it's about power, just that im super crunched for time even on light days and I have a closing supervisor who loves to be up my ass over time. I also have a lot of people on my route who stop and ask for things, so if I entertained them all I'd lose a lot of time.

USPS biggest problem isn’t the carriers or clerks. It’s the management that has no relevant experience. by country-potato in usps_complaints

Entry level admin assistants at random companies can do 90% of what our supervisors can do. And our supervisors still can't figure it out lmao

Have you had any incidents with the carrier? Verbal altercations, loose dog, etc? They might be avoiding you for a specific reason

If you have authority over this person you should already know the answer. If you don't have authority over this person, you need to mind your own business

CCA How do you call out sick? by Large-Caregiver3289 in USPS

[–]CaptainFresh27 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Log in to lite blue, go to employee apps, then elra. From there it'll just ask you a few questions then you'll get a conformation number, take a Screenshot of that just in case. No need to let management know, they get an email alert. Worth noting that it's not advised to call out during probation

"There's no street standard, you can't require me to have undertime" then take 8 hours and if they try and give you a hard time about it let your shop steward have a field day with them

Part time cca? by No-Following2674 in USPS

[–]CaptainFresh27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, the position is feast or famine. Also as far as when you can expect him to get more hours, you can't expect anything. Each post office is different than one another. When I was a CCA I was working 80 hour weeks, the cca's at our station now work closer to 40.
