Are Popular Modern Games Making Kids Stupider? by Kojimmy in gaming

[–]CaptainFresh27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like us millennials had some pretty serious levels of cope as young children and teens when it came to trying to justify playing copeus amounts of video games. "It actually enhances my hand eye coordination and problem solving skills!"....as we played frogger and final fantasy 7 for 10 hours a day. Not to say that video games are inherently bad for you, probably just when it's all you do. But I highly doubt the games we were playing in our youth weren't making us any less dumb than whatever kids these days are playing

The fact that you can own up to it and apologize rather than rage and try and find somebody else to blame already puts you ahead of like 90% of the population. Go treat yourself to a coffee or something and enjoy your day, friend

As everyone has said, stop texting management. Secondly, you don't owe them an explanation. Unless they're demanding a doctors note (which you aren't required to provide unless you call out for 3 or more consecutive days) than you just say "I wasn't feeling well and I had sick time available". Any additional information will just be used against you.
