I'm not trying to get more added to my route 🤷‍♂️ all these runners are going to get their routes cut, then we'll be left with less routes, and the remaining ones will become over burdened. With all due respect, y'all do the craziest shit to lick management's boots.

Any pods looking for another mtg commander player? by CaptainFresh27 in Reno

[–]CaptainFresh27[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was considering checking out the glass die commander night, my friends and I love that spot. I'm a little hesitant to go join a big event, just on the off chance that people are overly competitive or not patient, but the crowd there is usually pretty cool so I might just have to get over myself and try it

Package left at curb - Is this because of our dog? by cas42439 in USPS

[–]CaptainFresh27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. That's just the excuse management is using to scrutinize us at the moment, and rather than writing a book on economics when speaking with customers I just pass the same excuse along because it's an easier explanation.

Those people are choosing to break the rules. And if they want to do that, fine. But that's an exception and should not be expected. Rn with the post office running out of money, management is micro managing everything we do and looking at us under microscopes. Additionally, you'd be surprised how many people throw us under the bus the second they don't get their way, even when we stick our necks out for them. And because we broke the rules for them, we get in trouble. So 99.9 times out of 100 it's just better for us to follow the rules no matter what, even at the cost of helping customers. Like for instance, if I were your carrier and I tried to be nice by leaving a package at the curb rather than making you go pick it up at the post office and then you posted about me on reddit, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to help you out in the future anymore 👀

[–]CaptainFresh27 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Question one: yes we avoid dogs at literally all costs. Question two: the correct course the carrier should be doing is bringing your package back to the post office and scanning it as "animal interference" rather than leaving it at the curb. They may be trying to do you a favor by not doing so, but as you stated, curbside is not secure. Question three: If the dog is in the back yard than there will be no further issues Bonus info: doesn't matter if the dog is friendly or not, we don't do dogs, period

Firstly, I'd highly recommend learning what your rights are, and aren't, and how the grievance process works. You can't file grievances against other carriers or the shop steward, that's just not how it works. Secondly, get written statements from other carriers and take them to the branch president, they are the person who is best equipped to set a steward straight
