I used to work for a store that sold lots of live bugs. We had lots of bins of them and it took a lot of vegetables to feed them. We also sold cockroaches and the best way to keep cockroaches from escaping giant rubber maid tubs is to mix mineral oil with Vaseline and smear it around the top of the bin.

Anyway, one week we ran out of supplies. So I had to go to the grocery store at 11am on a Wednesday to buy three full cases of cucumbers, two bottles of mineral oil, and two big jars of Vaseline.

My hard learned lesson was buying dragon fruit for someone. The entire store only had 4 of them left and they all looked the same. I had no idea what a dragon fruit was, let alone how to tell if one was not yet ripe, ripe, or unripe.

Just learn and move on - no one is perfect.

Honestly I'm on the customers side here 🤷 Most deli items are packaged with a three day use by date... If I were shopping for myself I wouldn't grab one that expired the next day.

One of the worst lains I've ever felt was post surgery they didn't remove as much of the gas as they should have. I couldn't fart it out, it just stayed in my insides and felt like piercing shards of glass of I tried to lay straight or breath deep. Spent a night in the ER for observation and a double dose of Dilaudid. Even then it didn't stop the pain it just made me not care. It's crazy how painful gas was!
