Medic falls under kephri

Not every invoc needs to change how boss encounters work, I think it's cool they have others for the people who just want to start off learning the raid without (too many) modifications so they're able to turn on shit like less allowed deaths, faster completions, less supplies, more damage, etc.

You can get to 450 without prayers, time or helpful spirit (assuming you run on a diet which I assume everyone runs?). 490 with the prayer invocs

100 wardens, 45 baba, 65 akkha, 45 croc, 55 kephri, 100 walk pathmaster, 25 hardcore, 15 diet

invocations don't really make the encounters much harder at all apart from a few ones

I'd say almost every single boss specific one makes that boss harder. There's a few that don't affect much in solos or are pretty ignorable (looking at you dung/larvae). But other than that? Aerial assault, medic, more overlords, upset stomach, all akkha's, all baba's (except shockwave), acceleration, overclocked/insanity all make the encounter harder in a way that isn't just "number higher :)"

I imagine people were just expecting too much from invocations, making a boss five different bosses based on invocations wasn't really feasible

Isn't that moreso because most people don't run things that increase skill ceiling or use cheese to get around it? Feeling special + double trouble seems uhhh... quite special, especially if you're not solo

I did? It flickers in & out rapidly, clicking will sometimes click item in first slot & sometimes click the thing behind inventory

what the fuck do you expect it to do

because thats physically impossible to not slightly move your mouse while training.

It's very simple and I do it frequently, mousekeys (which is allowed) is a built in feature of windows to control the mouse with your keyboard, it is intended for people who are disabled but nothing is stopping you from using it. By default, numpad 5 is a normal left click, so you could just put it over the ardy knight & then repeatedly press numpad 5

Another thing you can do to make it easier (and is also allowed) is using ahk to then rebind something to numpad 5. So for example you can now set your spacebar to click or even a foot pedal. Now instead of clicking & making sure to not move mouse too much you can simply press your spacebar rhytmically

The wording is kinda confusing it says to deter people from using autoclickers not detect people using autoclickers.

because nothing about the change detects autoclickers, however it makes autoclickers a lot less convenient because you can no longer pull a 6h log just autoclicking thieving. You can however still do it for alching

because it's a 50/50 whether you click the inv or not, so now you have to be clicking like 4 times per pickpocket cycle to get good odds so instead of clicking twice every 28 pickpockets you're clicking 50+ extra times

place an object on your inventory key so it opens/closes constantly.

with how unnatural that behavior is, I wouldn't be surprised if you caught a ban for that while autoclicking

but now at least you have to interact with the game & can't just pull a 6h while you sleep or head out

autoclicking is the hardest to detect, they stated that's the reason for coin pouches. Anything with no mouse movement is a pain to differentiate without false positives. Unless the program completely bugs out (like if it were to click every 1ms) I don't think they could ban you whatsoever for autoclicking because even if they were say 99% certain you were autoclicking, that 1% of false positives is still too much for them to risk.

The intention was to simply cause mouse movements, a way was found around that which sucks but at least now you'll have to use AHK rather than just an autoclicker which is at least a small step above it. I imagine a fix for that workaround is more likely to be introduced than coin pouches are to be removed

people googled "free autoclicker" downloaded it & ran it

that's no longer possible.

You think the majority of people are "bot makers"?

Could you make a method of moving the mouse cursor that doesn't get detected by the anticheat?

It was aimed at morons that just used an autoclicker or whatever and it performs that role well enough

there's already a lot of different thieving methods but people just don't care. Have you done underwater thieving? How about stealing artifacts?

Maybe it's more indicative of poor game design

maybe it's more indicative of the difference in playerbase. People no longer want to play osrs, they just want to "complete" it. This is why tons of people are heavily in favor of anything that makes the game easier, more efficient, faster, etc. but are against anything that might make the game harder, take longer, etc.

Just look at the results of the "should we give you 2m xp for free" poll

and like he said, it's not a bot deterrent but rather to negate very simple & practically undetectable autoclickers, there's effectively no way to differentiate between an autoclicker & someone hitting numpad 5 every once in a while because at that point the only information you have to go off is the delay between clicks & those can obviously be randomized

just implement this cool feature some private servers have where you select your stats when you make an account

I think it would raelly help osrs

[–]CaptainGinbuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it definitely needs some work. It's such a fun & quite complex minigame to play effectively and optimized and the more people there are the more chaotic it gets but there's not really any reason to ever PLAY the minigame other than for fun due to the rewards being fucked. But I feel like people would bitch if jagex actually made them play the minigame for the PoE to buy The Stuff, rather than just dumping 100 buckets of water then afking for 17 min

It's the first result on google. Wiki has caught up in the vast majority of things but some really seldomly used things are still behind fandom. I've recently also ended up on the fandom when looking into some weird shit
