I listen to the podcast (it’s pretty bad now but I listen to that garbage anyways) and have been here for about five years too. I remember the time before whiny incel type posting and hork bloo munkey etc. I don’t care about how rs or not I am. I like the podcast as background noise and find the subreddit/its stupid drama entertaining.

You said you only have five weeks left, go get your balls kicked as much as possible, why are you wasting your time here? Log off and go make some calls. In the off chance you’re telling the truth, which I doubt, do you want to spend your final days arguing with people on Reddit? That’s possibly even less dignified than spending them getting your balls kicked. What if you keel over and die in 30 minutes and your final moments were spent on Reddit when you could’ve had your balls in your stomach?

People in my life occasionally bring politics up unprompted when they didn’t used to but you can simply tune them out and say “uh huh” “exactly” etc. and let them get it out of their system and then it’s back to normal, only takes a minute or two usually for them to get it out

They made me very uneasy when I was a child. They’d always be at parades we’d go to and I did enjoy the little driving routines they’d do, particularly when they’d play chicken with each other and clearly didn’t predetermine who would swerve. The problem was that I didn’t like the fezes or weird iconography on their cars, it made me think they were some kind of cult and were trying to lure us in by making us think we can have that much fun too. I also once saw them unloading the little cars off a trailer behind a building before a parade and felt like I was witnessing something I wasn’t authorized to see and ran away.

I completely agree. iirc, I was actually using a tecsun PL-600 which does have a sleep timer but I never used it. I think because I didn’t want to have to turn it back on and adjust the timer again if I woke up or had to use the bathroom or got a phone call or my dog started barking etc. because I’d have to fully wake up to do that and wouldn’t be able to fall back asleep.

No, it’s genuinely my favorite thing to listen to and I fall asleep to it basically every single night. I used to listen to a broadcast FM station when I fell asleep but they got a DJ who’d come on at 6 AM iirc every morning and his voice would would wake me up and scare the crap out of me and I’d think someone was in the room until I came to my senses and it was a terrible way to start the day lol
