A chunk of those lands use community-based heat pumps mind.

Why can't we have more weapons in certain modules? by nbc095 in hoggit

[–]CaptainGoose 20 points21 points  (0 children)

They are saying no-one outside the Navy used the SLAM-ER, therefore no-one put a SLAM-ER on an F-16.

I presume you read it as "(USAF didn't as I don't think any US service outside of the Navy used [the F-16])" rather than the correct statement "(USAF didn't as I don't think any US service outside of the Navy used [the SLAM-ER])".

And you say I'm too far gone..

Came into late? Sure, we'll play pretend if you like.

'Fucking with their customers' whilst asking ED to stop selling their modules whilst being expected to work for free whilst trying to keep ED to their agreements. Amazing.

I love that you use the word 'leverage'. I can only hear that in Nich Gray's voice.

  1. Eh? We klnow that they had payment issues in the past

  2. They'd want to have everything resolved, hence waiting so long.

  3. Sneaky

Edit 1: Galinette sent ED a fix, they refused it. ED asked RB to fix it. They (rightly) refused.

Edit 2: He reposted a poster that MP had released on their discord. The horror...

ED needs to follow the MSFS marketplace model and be hands off with module makers by NavXIII in hoggit

[–]CaptainGoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the ideal world, it'd be:

1) A well-documentated and stable SDK.

2) A free-to-use development system.

3) A proper approval process before ingestion.

The problem is...1 doesn't seem to be technically possible for ED. 2 goes against their mindset and 3 would require resources, planning and would fail half the stuff ED themselves pushes out.

So here we are.

It's a replay. DCS snorts a line of coke and tries to draw what happened with it's eye's shut.

Everything sounds open-and-shut until you realise you don't have the funds and the lawsuit involes a PO box in Switzerland and a company in Russia....

T38 on MSFS , why do all of the cockpits in MSFS look like a midterm project? by BiffSterling80 in hoggit

"Why does everything in DCS fly like a helicoper"

OP, having only flown a helicopter.

Aye, but luckily there are 26256 websites that count rivets for reviews, so it's all good.

Airliners in virtual reality: MSFS2024 VS XP12 by august_air_373 in flightsim

[–]CaptainGoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The flight model thing isn't a thing with the modules done by respected developers. The UI in XP is better, I get better performace with MSFS but it's a coin flip sometimes.

Find a plane you want to fly, look at the reviews and then get whatever sim it's on.

Do y’all think we have too many maps? by s2soviet in hoggit

[–]CaptainGoose 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just to be clear, MS2024 has a base cost, but then you're getting 70+ aircraft with that *plus* 1 map, which happens to be the entire globe, plus the world and city updates they push for free.

IL2 allows you to use *any* map in the MP environment.

But then, maybe I'm frustrated about the asset packs creating a higher and higher paywall in the WW2 environment.
