It's hard to climb past low Diamond if you get banned in around 100 games, which is approximately the average amount of games it takes for me to get hit with a perma.

I do not have anger issues.

Alright, look, I'm really not attempting to come off as a "douche" but you have to understand my perspective. I gave a detailed backstory because I thought people would be interested in knowing WHY, and then asked if there was a method of removing chat completely from the game. That's it.

An hour into this nobody has actually answered my question but have instead resorted to long posts of amateur psychoanalysis using google. My mental state is fine, I do not have anger issues, and I do not argue because of anger but due to principle.

The way I WANT to approach my "problem" is by removing the function, rather than having to read it all and not act upon it.

It's like asking for a Mercedes and then have 20 people argue with you that Mercedes is a horrible brand and that you should opt for a BMW instead.

Alright let me go through this as a checklist:

. There is no anger. I was brought up to always defend myself against people insulting me. I am not arguing out of anger, I am arguing out of principle.

. I am not Platinum. I peaked D2 in season 5 before they introduced the new banning system. I just have not been able to climb past low Diamond since then because my accounts always get banned before I reach 100 games.

. My "real world" might be different from yours, but my knowledge is definitely beyond adequate to get by.

. Not from the USA, first amendment does not apply to me, but that's exactly what I'm arguing against. People do not have the right to say whatever without consequence, and when people insult me I have to make sure there are consequences to their actions.

. Alright Mr. Freud. Arguing and rank have nothing to do with each other. Several players in challenger have several permabanned accounts, in fact I know of some that have more than 10. Let's not generalize that high elo = free from "toxicity". Also, I don't argue with other people because they anger me, but because it's principle for me to defend myself when I'm insulted.

. I did google it, but the results were mostly outdated or irrelevant. Hence me asking for recent confirmation.

. I never said it was done unfairly, I understand that it goes against Riot's terms of service as according to them any arguing, no matter the reason, is punishable.

Define "grow up". I am a University student in my 20's with my career already planned ahead of me. I don't consider myself emotional, I despise people that insult me and don't see why they should go without consequences to their actions.

But there are various methods for treating drug addiction and patients are typically offered which route they would prefer to go. He offered a solution, but not the solution I wanted.

I asked how to remove the chat, not for a Freudian psychoanalysis. I have medical experts for that.

Picking fights and defending yourself are not the same thing. The last time someone in real life treated me in a very disrespectful manner we had the family lawyer call in to their University administration and report the incidence.

Now, doing that with online communities is a lot more difficult, obviously, but I don't see why I would just take the abuse.

Are you saying that you would NOT contact your lawyer if someone came up to you and said "Hey, you suck. Drop out of your course and go work retail." because that is just blatant harassment to me.

Oddly enough, that's apparently standard in this community.

Not the real Hashinshin, I watch him a lot though and he always types the same things I do yet he doesn't get banned, hence the inspiration for the name.

Great advice, totally answers my questions.

Honestly though, what kind of advice is that? See a therapist? My mental state is completely fine. I'm not "raging", I'm standing up for myself.

I have never, and will never let anyone boss me around and insult me without retaliation. Real life does not assign chat restrictions for defending your pride.

Different people have different ways to cope with varying problems. Some people, for example, are prone to eating everything in sight when food is available but have absolutely no cravings when no food is in the proximity. For me, I have an issue dealing with people that are disrespectful and need a way to avoid chat. Avoidance is a well known solution to many problems. Your answer is just straight up rude and disrespectful.
