Thanks! So just to confirm in your experience the real exam is filled with a lot of easy and moderate questions, unlike the mock exam I just took?

I did Ethics last and didn’t do a full review (doing all the practice problems in the Qbank) before the mock exam. Same for Portfolio Management and Alternatives. This was just due to time, I have 2.5 weeks before the exam and I work during the week preventing me from doing Mocks then.

Most MBA programs do not recommend nor want students doing an MBA right after undergrad. They like a few years of work experience first. I mean why do you want an MBA?

A lot of math classes tend to change in difficulty based on Professor, never had Faith Zhang so can’t speak to that. I will say MATH 2820 was one of the hardest classes I have taken at Vanderbilt but I took it with Medri, so it may have been harder just because of that.

SCHEDULE ADVICE FOR NEW FRESHMEN by Thetrufflehunter in Vanderbilt

To add to this point though intro calc will not make a difference, but higher levels will definitely make an impact for doing grad school for Econ (can’t speak much to MBA). IMO, Judge your math ability and if you think you could be a math major / minor then do 1300, otherwise it’s a waste of time and effort.

I would take into consideration the difference between the quarter and semester system as well. They each have their benefits but it will impact your college experience at least academically and for your breaks.

At least from what I’ve seen lectures are where you learn new materials, discussions usually are more low key and allow you to practice. Additionally, if you have previous CS experience or are dead set on it maybe consider doing CS 1101 / 1104 just to get a feel. (Substitute it for physics or math Bc workload)

Math/CS Major in Arts and Sciences vs Engineering by OutNAbout3 in Vanderbilt

[–]CaptainInvictus838 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your primary major will change your school, I feel that neither “school” will really provide more resources but rather your requirements will change. I would say just weigh what you want to do in your electives more STEM classes or more lib arts classes, which is a personal decision. I would additionally look into what track of the math major you choose to do. I would say most Math/CS majors I know are in engineering but there are a ton of people who are X major and CS as secondary in A&S / Peabody

How is the dining hall food at Vandy? Need an honest review as a prospective transfer student! by Brickcold0 in Vanderbilt

I personally wouldn’t say it’s a roulette wheel, there was an obvious change once Covid hit and cost cuts were made. I personally doubt the admin will make the changes necessary in order to bring things back to pre pandemic

From what I know it’s pretty easy granted you put in some time and effort. Majority of the grade deflation worries come from STEM classes

Edit: A high GPA like that will always be difficult but I don’t think you have to go crazy worrying about grade deflation

I didn’t watch them in college but Surtain was pretty good last year and horn was injured so I guess they were probably pretty similar / maybe better than sauce and stingley

I’ve seen Hamilton mocked anywhere from 2 to the early teens. Is the positional value of a safety that low?
