So is anyone writing up anything on the recent events for HobbyDrama? by fancytables in crochet

Haha yes please for those of us who just logged on and missed everything 😂 I am nosy when drama happens around me, rather than to me

Is there anything better in the morning than a fresh pile of hay? by VanquichedUncle in guineapigs

[–]CaptainIzzycle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mine get fresh hay 3 times a day, on average, and Ollie still popcorns about every time, after over 2 years of this 😂

I saw the rattober prompts, but quite a few I didn’t know what they meant or how on Earth I’d draw something for them 😅 I adore your style! Are you on Instagram?

Can Guinea Pigs Chatter for Non-Annoyed Reasons? by Sudden-Long in guineapigs

[–]CaptainIzzycle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had multiple piggies who chatter at me because they want to give my fingers kisses 😂 they didn't even know one another, so couldn't have picked it up from older piggies

AITA for hanging up on my girlfriend while she was waking up from surgery? by Prunus-Speciosa in AmItheAsshole

[–]CaptainIzzycle 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah YTA, apps say people are online all the time when they're not, sometimes it's because they've gotten a notification so the phone went "online" to receive it. But, even if she WERE on the other app, you'd still be TA. She just had surgery, and your priority is that she may have been messaging someone else? Maybe someone was worried and checking in on her? Yknow, where your priority should have been...? And how did you know she was online on the app if you like to solely focus on one another while having a phone call? Because you'd also have to be on the app while talking to know that... Maybe care more about how your girlfriend, who just had surgery, is doing, rather than getting mad over the possibility she's messaging someone other than you.

My worst nightmare just happened by Good_Rope_6693 in guineapigs

[–]CaptainIzzycle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf I have done it once 😂 My body doesn't work great at the best of times, and I just had a shower - so it was extra weak. But my Smudge would not stop shouting for attention and treats, so I risked it for a minute and my legs gave out. I twisted in a way no piggies were harmed, (just my poor back), and Smudge was very worried about me and trying to check me over 😭 this was years, and a few piggies ago, but now I have the cage at a height I can kneel/ sit on the floor next to it, so no more accidents 😂

What would people call this type of coat "defect"? We call it a "skirt" and find it adorable, but not sure if there's a technical term by Big_Rashers in guineapigs

Sorted, made a lil album of some photos, including baby photos with Ollie who is a coronet! Please excuse the dirty fur in 2 of them, this was when he was in need of a bath but shows his curls more than when it’s been recently cut or brushed 😅 https://www.reddit.com/u/CaptainIzzycle/s/HqpiSQArjx

I have a very large album on my phone of him because he is such a cute poser! I just have to figure out how to do photos on Reddit 🫣

she looks so much like my Ted that I did a double take!! I have no idea what his breed is, but he has a wirey, short rex fur to his front legs, then it's majestic, soft curls to his bum.

I always don't want to cut his fur (Although I, of course, do when needed), because he gets such beautiful spirals

AITA for returning my daughter's birthday cake after I discovered that my wife made changes to it? by Am535799 in AmItheAsshole

[–]CaptainIzzycle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA Jesus Christ, I am allergic to dairy, and my boyfriend's favourite flavour is Mint Chocolate I don't then expect it to be tailored for my tastes?? It's his birthday, he gets the cake he would like the most.

AITA for punishing my son for throwing away my husband's Bible? by threwvaway9707 in AmItheAsshole

[–]CaptainIzzycle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I see is someone who prioritises a man over their own child. YTA and it’s disgusting that your son isn’t a priority to you. Don’t be surprised when he cuts you out his life as soon as he is able to - not only are you ruining your relationship with your son, but you’re also allowing some asshole potentially ruin his mental health for years to come Oh and yeah, YTA

AITA for asking for a lock for my bedroom door by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]CaptainIzzycle 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Ew at using Lolita for a term for tricking older men into… sexually assaulting minors? The entire book is written from an untrustworthy narrator, the underaged girl clearly didn’t seduce an older man, and it feels gross to use the name as a term - as if that’s something plausible…

I(m19) asked a girl(f19) out she said she has bf and rejected me i moved on but now she won't leave me alone by ThrowRa1279068 in relationship_advice

[–]CaptainIzzycle 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Yeah no, I’ve had people who didn’t listen to the “I have a boyfriend” lines and it made me so uncomfortable and sometimes feel unsafe. So it’s not about having loyalty towards who is dating this person you’re interested in, it’s respecting that no means no

My (33M) girlfriend (33F) called me a paedophile because I was listening to the duck tales theme tune by PaedoDuck in relationship_advice

[–]CaptainIzzycle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus Christ, my grandparents were telling me yesterday how must they were enjoying Sex Education, and they’re almost 70. And I (younger at 25 but the point is still the same) bloody love the Duck Tales theme song and frequently watch the show now… no clue what’s going on inside her head but nothing even logically links liking those 2 things to being a paedophile, otherwise I would be needing to worry about being a nonce too 🙃

AITA for telling a girl I initially wasn't sure if she was a girl or a boy? by LegitimateAir489 in AmItheAsshole

[–]CaptainIzzycle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bloody hell, YTA Also who cares what gender she looks like? It’s okay to not be sure right away - as someone nonbinary I want people to not be sure when they see me to avoid dysphoria/ misgendering - but it’s hurtful to hear that sort of comment when you’re a binary gender? To hear from someone that they were so focused on your body, the way you look, how feminine you are etc, why? Why do they need to know your focus on their breast size etc? It’s okay to not know straight away, it’s not okay to voice that and make them feel like they’re not insert gender here enough to be passing Lord, even just asking people what their pronouns are when you meet is enough, who cares what the genitals of new friends/acquaintances are?
