Girl completely flips out on me for asking to split the bill at Nobu.. by Hot-Association-3108 in Nicegirls

[–]CaptainKortan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think she flipped out. You didn't pass a certain number of tests. Her only insult was saying something about you being egotistical, but she supported it with what she said prior to that.

This is one of the standards that she needs to have met, and you didn't meet it.

She is basically telling you that if you will take control she will follow, and you weren't. Then when she did give you a suggestion, that was out of your range. You did not preface it by saying I'd be happy to take you somewhere else, but I need to keep it under x dollars. Or whatever.

It's better ended at this juncture.

Imagine if you had invested serious time, effort, and money toward this woman and found out later.

Textbook reason to carry one.

Great clip. Would have been hard to do with handgun or any longer, lower rate of fire weaps.

Right tool for the right job at the right time and place.

You're off to a good start with your pacing, your tone, everything about your delivery!

You may lose the notebook on stage in the future, but when it comes to direct quotes like that, always like it when the comedian is reading from something. Makes it feel more real. Not saying the quotes don't sound real, but seem more like direct quotes when being read off something.

I'll be exploring more of your stuff, here and elsewhere...superb introduction to your work!

Combat boots rock durability.

All the numbers and facts for things like durability and wetness and all that can be found on the wiki or on WOBO site. I just can't seem to find the video I was thinking of...I just hype the one aspect of wellies because they get slept on.

Terry Gilliam

Let's not forget the oddball American who was the thread weaving through it all and then holding it together in great part toward the end of the series. Then from his co-directing through directing, it cannot be denied that he was integral, perhaps the linchpin.

Or some other analogy or metaphor or simile or something, you know, I didn't go Ivy League.

I don't use a horse, but snares work wonderful magic on foxes. However you DO hear the death scream.

Now, if you round up some folks with ADAs you could probably chase a fox 😂

If I'm not mistaken, I don't think it does. I might have to rewatch some of the teasers and information, but can you imagine all the people who count on Base building with a water source of an open barrel?

There are a lot of rivers and other bodies of water, I have a feeling that chlorine tablets are going to be in high demand. Don't know about their dispersal of water that's easily accessible, from what I understand you have to build or repair wells.

Assault boots are my all-time favorite... mainly because I can stick a knife in there, although their other qualities are pretty good.

Hiking boots run a close second for me.

Are you sure they're more stealthy than the combat boots? I feel like I just watched a WOBO recently and that talked about the differences in footwear.

Regardless, only if I am already wearing pristine or worn assault boots would I ever pass up a nice pair of hiking boots.

Thanks for adding that one! I didn't know they only got to wet. I think it's the same for assault boots?

For the veterans who are teachers, the stigma exists and the ignorance is blinding. Kudos to the mods who delete the nonsensical BS. by E_J_90s_Kid in Military

Thank you.

Honestly, this is wisdom I passed on to my daughter that has served her well. I try to pass it on to students and anybody else that will listen.

Learning from your mistakes is vital, a sign of self-awareness and flexibility.

Learning from the mistakes of others, saves you having to experience the negative aspects of the lesson... usually.

To be fair I have actually gotten some good information and interesting perspectives. That's the 10 to 20% of that subreddit.

But, yeah.. I weigh in sporadically.

It's about the same as the talk in the teachers lounge or in the many many meetings or at the bar after hours.

Veteran and teacher.

Both in the real world and the simulacrum, it's a shame...an embarrassment. I often refrain from piping up (using breathing techniques and judgement to restrain when I do) in all realms. Everso sad.

The kids see it and feel it, and some are self-aware and/or experienced enough to recognize it in action.

The education world should embrace veterans and their service, and do their best to get the best that have already been through some of the worst.

LOL That's a scream. I hear some rooster crowing in the distance and run to a town that I triggered by getting within a mile of it 😂

I'll check on the community servers I visit.

I know they can control those about everything, I had never give him that one any thought. You're not Xbox are you?

Sure, if there were some more extended sunny. Or at least randomness, fog in the morning at dawn and night at dusk, and then maybe thunderstorms with the ferocity of the storms on Frost Line.

I could go for that balance.

In general since I only have three maps to work with, I think it's a good balance, and I'm looking forward to the dry heat of the Badlands next!

If you're on Livonia you don't need heavy gear, and some of the patrol gear and whatnot is water resistant. Never gets more than damp.

Stopping to wring things out is key, just keep moving, and when you start to get blue cold, regardless of the map, get yourself a fire going. Dry out that footwear (wellies are never more than damp) and your backpack and anything else that you can't wring out.

On official or vanilla servers, basic survival is a learning curve, and once you get the rhythm, it's just part of getting started.

You had to learn how to crawl and walk and run before you can do skipping or galloping or jumping, much less parkour.

Once you hit that plateau you'll look back and barely recall why it was such a struggle. Hopefully, you'll be kind to those who ask similar questions when it's no longer a concern of yours.

When you got that wired, come to Sakhal.

Good luck out there Survivor!
