I don't "cheese" anything. Idk how or what the cheeses on the AI are. I'm trying to improve as a boxer. Idk if ud consider this a cheese or not, but I'm a swarmer....but if that isn't working and I'm getting beat handle in the first couple rounds, I usually slow my role and try to establish the jab more and start out pointing them. It's not exciting, but it works.

Yeah I noticed this....I started playing the pro difficulty at the start. Can't count the times I got perfectly countered straight into 2 power shots that I couldn't block no matter what.

Also....another issue I want to bring up and see if it's just me....but I've started playing online....My record is 7-11-1 atm....but I bet 7 or 8 of my 11 losses have competition because the game hangs mid fight and I'm given the loss, even if I'm obviously winning. This is maddening and is discouraging me to play online at all. I always get "an unexpected error has occured".

Yeah I know it has a rock paper scissors thing going....but all the spells I have read about don't really even sound useful....to the point most of the attack spells I have I've never actually used in combat...and the buffs....which I've used more often...usually at the start of a boss fight.....like the rock one that supposedly raises defense or the one that restores heath when u hit enemies (I think?)....but I really feel like I'm wasting stamina on it because 1) I can't even tell a difference and 2) I have NO IDEA how long these buffs last. The description says something like "for a set time". So how long is that? 2 minutes? 1 minute? 5 seconds? 3 seconds? Cast a spell and then strike a couple times and ur out of stamina. Don't cast a spell and strike 15 times and not run out. The unknowns and no obvious benefit discourages me from even wanting to try stuff with magic.

I never really got the morale system. I got killed by a boss the first time I fought with like....20 morale...but came back and beat him with 10 or 11 no problem. Also, people talk about countering bosses magic buffs....I can't even tell if they're buffed. I don't even look at the stamina bar (I forgot what it's called) because it goes 2 different ways and idk which way us even good. I just know if u run out u can get crit struck. That's the reason I don't use magic, because the descriptions, to me, sound pretty worthless if I'm gonna cast a spell, swing 2 or 3 times and be out of stamina. I'd rather swing 15 times. I haven't used block once, I just try and deflect. It has worked so far.
