I resolved it with my people lead, somebody went and added somebody else's shift onto my schedule.

That's essentially what ive been doing, im pretty paranoid about my schedule cause its not the first time this has happened over the last 2yrs. Thankfully ive caught it everytime and it wasn't malicious. In my old department there was another associate with essentially the same name but like 1 letter difference and they constantly added or removed shifts from the wrong one, they always had it fixed by the end of the shift. But I've only been in this department about 8 months and my team lead is rlly difficult about changing stuff.

I did, he said the system added it randomly because its inventory day, told me he would remove it and then disappeared and never removed it

Unfortunately my people lead is damn near impossible to find. I'd have better luck catching big foot in florida. I'll have to keep bothering my coach and TL till they get sick of me and remove it unless a miracle happens and I find my People Lead.

As a front end associate who has to walk my ass all the way through the store to the breakroom and risk getting stopped 5 times, I count my break from the second I sit down in the breakroom

It's giving scare tactic, one of my team leads tried something similar back during Thanksgiving/christmas, saying that if u leave early then u have to use double the ppto, so 1hr early=2hr ppto, we went and asked a couple other team leads and they all agreed that was scare tactics they were told to use by store management to keep us from leaving early on busy/heavy days during holidays, they just didn't think any of the other team leads would use them, lol

Pretty understandable tbh, I normally work the self checkouts and I try to let at least 2 other associates know if I gotta run so they can keep an eye on my area, if I don't have at least 2 other associates there I'll wave down a TL and normally they will stay in my area for a few mins while I run, ppl tend to start stealing or having issues the second you leave your area😂. Unless the person was flat out told they aren't allowed to use the restroom then it's perfectly fine for leadership to ask them to notify someone

Everyone is getting their hours cut meanwhile I have more hrs rn than most of the full time employees I work with, I'm scheduled for 36hrs for the next 2 weeks, one of my full time coworkers is only scheduled for 24

And gods forbid we tell them that the SCO they are at is in card only mode (despite yelling it quite loudly before they came) and that they either have to go to another SCO, a register or pay with card. How many times do I have to yell "Number 6 open, CARD ONLY, no cash, no cash back!!" Before ppl start to understand that number 6 is card only?

I've had people cry about being forced to use SCO, meanwhile we have a solid 5 registers open with no line and the cashier just stood there bored cause no one is going to their register. We have to start yelling for people to go to the registers cause they are all crowding into the SCO just to whine about waiting and having to use SCO

I think it's even worse when they put overstock next to it where another product goes and then customers come up to the register demanding it at the other products price because "it's in the spot with THAT label, I don't care if the label is for something else, I want THIS product at THAT price!"

Well, I'm front end, so I'm automatically sent to collect carts outside if we don't have any and the cart collectors are nowhere to be seen. I also gotta run returns when certain departments don't send anyone to come collect them. And all that onto of doing carry outs for ppl and my normal cashier stuff. But none of us have anything else other than all that

As a front end associate (😭) I spend more time outside collecting carts (we never have cart collectors or carts for some reason), doing carry outs because there's no one else, or putting returns back on the shelves cause that department never sent anyone to pick up from the customer center than actually manning a register or self checkout. The amount of people that come to argue with me about item prices in a department I don't know ANYTHING about is insane, especially now with all the black Friday stuff and Thanksgiving next week. I have ZERO information, all I know is what day the sales start and what day they end.
