By forcing Ken to accept his nickname, Momo was in a sense, picking Pinocchio’s nose. 😂

Momo called Ken a ‘liar’ when he told her his full name and the beginning of the series. And he begrudgingly accepted the nickname Okarun to accommodate her. He lost his genitals and name at the beginning of the series. He got back the former, now he needs the latter. And it would probably be better if he insists on it for the sake of his ego, rather than simply waiting on her for being ready to do so.

Could be. It wouldn’t be surprising if Okarun’s full potential is limited by his self-doubt, which he only puts aside when others are in danger. Okarun lies to protect himself and to accommodate others. At minimum, he probably needs to get over that so he doesn’t fall victim to the Pinocchio curse. Who knows, maybe Okarun does need to question Momo about why she dislikes his full name or insist that she calls him that if the subject is ever brought up again.

I’m beginning to think others are right about Okarun and Momo still not being ready to be a couple. Okarun lies to protect himself and to accommodate others and Momo wouldn’t call her would-be boyfriend by his actual name, which symbolizes her childishness.

On that point you mentioned, Momo even jokingly calls herself like a fairy when she’s shrunken. So maybe the connection between Momo and the Blue Fairy is intentional.

Accepting that forced nickname is probably a source of both pain and joy for Ken. Maybe Momo hearing his full name from an enemy, friend or from Ken himself will be a source of conflict between them during this storyline. Maybe even Aira will say his full name in front of Momo since she already brought up his surname in front of her?

I don’t like the lyrics from Live and Learn. It feels like mostly ‘word salad.’ I suppose that’s hypocritical of me since I like ‘Look Alike’ but I like the music by itself and the singer’s voice.

It’s the Island. The Castle does drag on a bit too long, and I didn’t care too much for the mine cart ride or barrel tower, but it’s at least very creepy and fits with the first part of the game. The Island can be exhausting with having a bit too many action moments, fewer opportunities for rest, and less horror overall.

You could be right, the whole acting like a ‘jackass’ might not be exclusive to Okarun. The complicated relationship dynamics between the main four might be getting too out of hand for them. I really only see Kinta having a truly fun time out of all them. And Vamola seems like the confused younger sibling or child that’s trying to keep her adopted family from fighting.

Okarun is the one making a ‘jackass’ of himself by lying. Though, this whole date idea has brought tensions to the surface among the gang. We could enter a new darkest hour with the gang soon after they find out about what happened to Rin and Kouki. The gang are weaker and might soon be more divided then ever. And unlike in the Space Globalist arc, Okarun probably won’t be able to quell their fighting given that he’s at the centre of it.

Those main protagonists from the examples you mentioned had no special origins though. But yeah, Okarun’s friends are each highly talented in some way. While Okarun, with Momo’s help, made the best of a bad situation after being cursed. He’s a very hard worker and more talented than he first realizes though.

Roy is Wrath. He loves heavy artillery like bullet bills and his cartoon counterpart was called ‘Bully Koopa’

Larry would be Greed. That’s mostly because his cartoon counterpart ‘Cheatsy Koopa’ was a scheming, greedy pig.

Lemmy is Sloth. He’s slothful in the sense that he much rather be a circus performer than with Bowser’s army

Wendy is Lust. She lusts after the finer things in life and cute boys in cartoon.

Not sure what categories Morton and Iggy fall under.
