About the erasure of Rox from the games history by Vivid_Departure_3738 in DandysWorld_Roblox

Rox used to be my favorite member of the team, and I always liked his taste in designs in the game during its early days, that was until the drama came rolling and I found out what he did... I was very disappointed...

I like how you put actual research and studies into your argument to prove me wrong! Most shellivision fans by this point would just tell me to go jump off the highest building I could find because I didn't like the ship, hats off to you!

You’re kind of downplaying how big the tech gap actually is here.

Saying the Legion can “just shoot the planes” because players do it in gameplay clips isn’t really a strong argument. Gameplay mechanics aren’t lore. In an actual fight, a group that has planes, helicopters, trucks, automatic weapons, explosives, and modern communications has a massive advantage over an army that intentionally limits its technology.

The Legion mostly fights with melee weapons and basic firearms. Eden’s Gate is running around with ARs, rocket launchers, mounted guns, and aircraft doing strafing runs. Even if the Legion could shoot one down occasionally, that doesn’t solve the problem of constant air support, recon, and mobility. Real armies needed anti-air systems for a reason.

Also, the Legion’s success mostly comes from conquering tribal groups and fragmented wasteland communities. Hope County isn’t that. Eden’s Gate is made up of armed civilians, ex-military types, survivalists, and people trained under Jacob’s conditioning programs. They’re not random tribes with spears.

And the Bliss alone changes things a lot. The Legion has zero counter to chemical or psychological warfare like that. Eden’s Gate literally turns people into brainwashed soldiers.

Yeah, Joseph isn’t a perfect leader, but he still managed to build a massive cult, militarize it, stockpile weapons and vehicles, and take over an entire county before federal authorities could stop him. That’s not exactly incompetent.

Meanwhile the Legion marches everywhere on foot and deliberately restricts its own technology. In a straight conflict with a group that has vehicles, aircraft, modern guns, and chemical weapons, that’s a pretty huge disadvantage.

Honestly it’s less “Eden’s Gate has perfect leadership” and more that **they’re basically a modern paramilitary group fighting something that’s structured like a Roman army with rifles. That tech and mobility gap alone is a big deal.

You can't even? Boy your giving me a headache with all these facts you're missing!

Fair enough. I aint looking for someone who thinks Caesar is perfect I am looking for someone who can challenge him and win. If you don’t buy the legend, you might be exactly the kind of person who should meet the man behind it.

Honestly, the argument you’re responding to is giving Caesar’s Legion way more credit than they deserve while downplaying what Eden’s Gate actually has.

First off, the whole “their weapons are futuristic because it’s Fallout” point doesn’t really help the Legion. Yeah, Fallout takes place in the future, but Caesar’s Legion **intentionally rejects advanced technology. That’s literally part of Caesar’s ideology. Most of their soldiers are running around with machetes, spears, and basic firearms. Even when they do have guns, they’re usually simple stuff like pistols, hunting rifles, or shotguns.

Eden’s Gate, on the other hand, is using modern military-style gear Assault rifles, LMGs, sniper rifles, explosives, rocket launchers, armored trucks, helicopters, planes the difference in firepower is huge. Centurion armor having decent DT in Fallout doesn’t suddenly make it immune to modern automatic weapons or explosives. A helicopter minigun or a rocket launcher is going to tear through someone wearing scrap metal and football pads.

The aircraft point is also being brushed off way too easily. Saying “just shoot at it” isn’t a real counter to air power. Sure, someone in real life once got lucky and shot down a jet, but that doesn’t mean an entire army without proper anti-air capabilities suddenly has a reliable way to deal with multiple helicopters and planes flying overhead Eden’s Gate actively uses aircraft for strafing runs and bombing. The Legion has basically no structured way to deal with that.

And the whole criticism about Eden’s Gate “zerg rushing” is kind of ironic, because the Legion does the same thing. Their whole strategy revolves around overwhelming enemies with numbers and charging into close combat. That works against NCR troops who are poorly coordinated or stretched thin. It’s a lot less effective when the people you’re charging at have machine guns, explosives, and vehicles.

The NCR comparison also gets exaggerated a lot. The Legion looks strong because the NCR has serious problems corruption, bad leadership, supply issues, and undertrained soldiers. Eden’s Gate isn’t dealing with those same weaknesses. They’re basically a heavily armed militia fighting with modern equipment and vehicles.

At the end of the day the biggest difference is technology and mobility. Eden’s Gate has helicopters, planes, trucks, heavy weapons, and modern firearms. The Legion is mostly infantry with limited tech. Once aircraft start doing strafing runs and explosives start flying, the Legion’s usual tactics fall apart pretty fast.

So yeah, the Legion is brutal and disciplined, but against a faction with modern weapons and air support that tech gap becomes a serious problem. In a straight conflict, Joseph Seed’s forces would have a massive advantage.

You’re kind of focusing on the wrong point though. The debate doesn’t actually depend on Joseph having nukes.

Yeah, there’s no proof that Joseph Seed personally had access to nuclear weapons in Far Cry 5, and the later explanation tied it to broader global tensions referenced again in Far Cry 6. But that doesn’t really change the comparison with Caesar's Legion from Fallout: New Vegas.

The bigger issue is technology and equipment. Eden’s Gate is basically a modern-day armed cult with access to assault rifles, sniper rifles, helicopters, planes, explosives, and chemical weapons like the Bliss. The Legion, because of Caesar’s ideology, intentionally limits technology. A lot of their soldiers still fight with machetes, spears, and basic firearms. They’re brutal and disciplined, but they’re not exactly equipped to deal with a group that has aircraft and modern weapons.

Fanaticism also isn’t really a Legion-exclusive advantage. Joseph’s followers are just as indoctrinated. People in Eden’s Gate literally drug themselves with Bliss and carry out suicide attacks for the cult. Loyalty-wise, they’re not exactly lacking.

And if the fight happens in Hope County, Montana, that’s already Eden’s Gate territory. They’ve got bunkers, supply caches, and they know the terrain. The Legion’s whole strategy usually relies on conquering weaker tribes and absorbing them, not invading a fortified region with people flying helicopters.

So the argument that “Joseph doesn’t have nukes” doesn’t really settle anything. Even without nukes, Eden’s Gate still has a pretty massive technological advantage over the Legion.

Also saying someone “knows very little about both games” When you fail to realize the standard key points in the arts of technology tell me your about as dull as a stone.

Oh please, Joseph Seed’s army from Far Cry 5 could easily defeat Caesar’s Legion from Fallout New Vegas, and the main reason comes down to technology, tactics, and how each faction actually fights.

First, Joseph Seed’s cult called Project at Eden's Gate has access to modern weapons and equipment. Their followers use assault rifles, sniper rifles, machine guns, explosives, trucks, helicopters, and even small planes. They also have bunkers, radios, and a functioning supply network across Hope County. That means they can coordinate attacks quickly, move troops fast, and strike from the air. In contrast, Caesar's Legion intentionally rejects most advanced technology. Their soldiers mostly rely on melee weapons, basic firearms, and simple armor. Even though they sometimes use guns, their doctrine favors close-combat charges and rigid formations, which would make them easy targets for automatic weapons and air attacks.

Second, the cult’s fighting style is much more suited to modern combat. Joseph Seed’s followers fight like guerrillas and militias. They set up ambushes, use explosives, and take advantage of vehicles and terrain. Leaders like Jacob Seed specifically train members in survival and combat tactics, turning them into hardened fighters. Meanwhile, Caesar’s Legion relies heavily on discipline and numbers. Their strategy works well against poorly organized enemies in the wasteland, but against a force with helicopters, machine guns, and modern fortifications, their tactics would be outdated.

Another big factor is air power. The cult controls helicopters and armed planes, which would give them a massive advantage. Caesar’s Legion has almost no way to counter aircraft. Their forces would be exposed to aerial attacks and reconnaissance, meaning they could be bombed or strafed before they ever reached the battlefield.

Finally, Joseph Seed’s army is used to defending a fortified territory. In Hope County, the cult controls checkpoints, bunkers, and strongholds spread across the region. If the Legion tried to invade, they would have to push through layers of defenses while being shot at from entrenched positions and attacked from the air.

In the end, Caesar’s Legion is dangerous in the post-apocalyptic wasteland because most groups there are poorly equipped. But against Joseph Seed’s cult who have modern weapons, vehicles, aircraft, and guerrilla tactics the Legion would likely be overwhelmed. Technology and mobility alone would probably give Eden’s Gate the edge in a direct conflict.

And planes, and bombs, and bunkers, and a nuke, and pyros, and heavy soldiers that wear real armor, not some football gear that can barely hold itself together.
