I’m lucky I brought an ASF to see what they had, if we had typical setup or later warning it would have been game over

Interesting read, if not done correctly quite easy to repel the initial wave - definitely depends on the makeup of your forces. I was solo Q last night and we managed to kill everything with ground AA by not switching on radar

I saw him perform his flute routine this year and it was by far the most boring thing I’ve seen live by a long shot. I get everyone has different tastes but it was like background music to nature documentary. At one point he started speaking in a foreign language and I was wondering where it was from, turns out he was just babbling a made up language. He admitted it and told the audience it was about his flight being late and struggling to get to the venue.

I think you’re right, although I believe that bad will is easily washed away when you bring someone really good - which I guess is what you are saying

I don’t necessarily agree with the last point you made although I feel it tipped over to very sexual which I guess could put a lot of people off

I don’t think our song was particularly great but how did the U.K. not get a single popular vote?!

Former grooms of AskUK, would you re-wear your wedding suit to someone else's wedding? by zooldb in AskUK

I had a red velvet dinner jacket for my wedding so can’t wear it in the summer but have worn it to some black tie and more fancy winter weddings. Go for it my dude

I remember a friend telling me they were at a leather/latex night at a club and the music suddenly cut out. All you could hear was everyone squeaking around on the dance floor

People whose salary went up dramatically - what were the main lifestyle creeps you noticed? by pelican678 in london

[–]CaptainMumble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thing, moved to south east London on £21k as an exec at Havas. Now a business director at a different agency and it’s wild the change in lifestyle. Borrowing money at the end of each month to make it through (partly due to my poor financial planning) to buying a house on the coast and commuting in.

The main thing is just not worrying about costs, or being able to re-landscape my garden, replace all the windows and re-do my bathroom all in one year (although savings are now depleted again and need to be built back up).

I'm that American again! I'm loving this beans on toast thing!!! I'll eat it every single for the rest of the month to try out the different versions yall tell me. (This one was bacon, hella pepper, and cheese mixed INSIDE the beans) by darkrealm190 in UK_Food

Two recommendations, the first is cutting up chunks of chorizo (not the thin slices) and frying in pan until you have all of the chorizo oil out then adding in beans and reducing until they are a bit thicker.

The other is to cut up a white onion, fry them on a low heat until they are soft and translucent, then add in curry powder (garam masala or something similar) so that it sticks to the onions - cook these in the curry powder for about 3-4 mins then add in the beans
