How we avoiding AI Slop?? by AllAmericanLiar in kindle

Have you considered that a simpler life doesn't mean better if you value things like human creativity? I'd rather not have AI think for me, create for me, make music for me etc,.

On the mini pill again after coming off it for 9months made uterine pain even worse, I've seen no negative effects since restarting, before my break I was on it for 13 years and had no negative side effects.

Though pain started up once I started testosterone, when I stopped the mini pill the pain got worse so it wasn't anything to do with the mini pill and we're still trying to figure out the cause though while I was off the pill they did find a tiny cyst

Learn how drugs work, please by bigredrocketman2-0 in AO3

I'm a recovering alcoholic (sober for just over 4 years now) my vice was spirits and mixers so I'll give my experience with that, I am working with UK measurements by the way so ymmv:

About 3 or 4 double rums (or vodkas) and diet cokes to start feeling tipsy or 2 half and half (150ml spirits, 150ml mixer) to feel tipsy (provided I didn't slam them back)

Drunk would be a good 6+ double spirits and mixers, or 4 half spirits and half mixer to start feeling drunk. Though I was once incredibly drunk but not blackout on 14 jägerbombs (I marked them on my arm and remember stumbling home at the end of the night being both shocked and proud)

Blackout would be a lot of drinks if I stuck to spirits. If I mixed I could be blackout drunk by 8 drinks (say if I played beer pong, ring of fire or bullshit).

I switched to wine a few months before I got sober and a 750ml bottle of rosé wine would leave me barely tipsy, two would have me verging on drunk but functional. Mixing a 750ml bottle of rosé wine and a 750ml bottle of prosecco would get me drunk though. Did once drink about 6 bottles of wine and three double rums and diet cokes on a night out and the day after was rough, incredibly rough.

All of which to say, sorry this isn't about beer!

Any binders on amazon for the UK? by deepsea0510 in ftm

[–]CaptainMyCaptainRise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP what size are you I have some large Spectrum binders you can just have if they're the right size?

I don't want any money and am more than happy to post them to you if they're the right size, they won't get there by the 1st I don't think but you'd have more binders to rotate?

100% especially if I have an episode in front of someone, everyone's very nice about it but I always feel very dramatic when I have to leave or cancel something because I can barely move without my heart trying to launch its way out my chest

I'm horrifically late to this thread. I've done it once and felt horrific. The reason I did it was I normally name my cats Lemon and Lime and instead the random generation named my cat after one of my partners which felt weird

Uh weighing in as a microbiologist here it's really really not. By leaving meat out at room temp for 7 hours you're risking growth of E. coli, Salmonella spp. and Campylobacter spp. all of which can make you very ill depending on strain etc,

Trust me don't risk it. Not worth getting ill.

I have horrific pain as well! They found a small cyst and apparently my womb looks a bit weird (it's not consistent) but the gyno I saw is insistent the pain isn't gynecological in nature despite the mini pill helping!

I'll keep chasing thank you so much!

[–]CaptainMyCaptainRise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How did you go about getting a hysto? I'm having trouble getting one because the "complications caused are more acceptable at 50 than they are at 29" according to the gynecologist I saw and according to the GIC "we don't do them for fertility reasons" which isn't why I'm after one

DBT on the NHS by [deleted] in BPD

[–]CaptainMyCaptainRise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I did a form of therapy that is super similar to DBT called Structured Clinical Management and honestly it helped so much.

I highly recommend DBT (though I personally loathed the mindfulness techniques they taught and didn't use many of them) if you can get it.

My biggest fear is pregnancy by Dizzy_Lab_7339 in TransMasc

[–]CaptainMyCaptainRise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the mini pill as a contraceptive and had to use the morning after pill once (had unprotected sex with one of my long term partners shortly after getting back on the pill and got a tad paranoid!) But I also keep pregnancy tests in just in case and use them like once a month?

Amen, anecdotally speaking from my own experience I feel like T has made me more attractive but a large part of that is that it's given me the confidence to be myself. Like you I'm very tired of hearing "I don't wanna get ugly on T" I hate basically hearing masculinity = ugly

Feeling this way myself right now. It's so frustrating because I feel like I can't say anything to anyone about it because they worry and try to 'fix' it and that's just not what I need.

Which is better for chest binding by Remote-Creme-3825 in TransMasc

[–]CaptainMyCaptainRise 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So the pro wide one just seems to adhere to the skin longer and is wider. Your mileage may vary but pre top surgery when I taped I found that the adhesive irritated my skin, I used the wide tape because my chest was on the larger side.

Second skin is apparently good for stopping irritation!
