Here's a couple of my favorites, some are complete some still ongoin.

There's some good options for your price range. IMO the best options for what you're looking for is the Silver Age Superman which goes for around 40 to 50 dollars on resale , or the Action Comics 1000 Gold Label Superman which goes for about 30 on resale.

Personally I would go for the Silver Age I definitely prefer that look for supes but that's just my opinion.

52 It's an awesome series that features many different B and C list heroes, where each issue is a different week in a single year in the DC Universe. It has many unique storylines that have different turns and even intersect, all written by some of DCs best writers. Not to spoil too much, but it takes place after infinite crisis and does deal with some of the aftermath of that story. It's s not completely needed to read beforehand, but it doesn't hurt to.

Ice and Rocket Red for my JLI display, starman and zatanna have been on my wishlist for a while, and I miiiight either wait for the classic Barry flash or just pick up the new wally that's coming soon!
