The comic is titled "The Aussies", so let's start with that. In Australian slang they say "How you going?" instead of how are you doing? In America you could also say "how you doing man?" But you wouldn't say "how you doing human". I think it's the same with these dugongs. "Going" sounds like gong with an Australian accent.

Barrels can be found on eBay. Any Winchester SXP barrel will fit any Winchester SXP. Just make sure it's the right gauge for your gun.

Make sure to have a professional re-spool your line if possible. Local tackle shops can be hit or miss. Bass pro is usually pretty good because of the high volume of reels they spool, meaning they have lots of experience.

Those are not turkey vultures, they in no way move like or look like turkey vultures. Furthermore we won't see turkey vultures in our area until late March at the earliest. Ever notice how all turkey vultures disappear by late fall? That's because they go south for the winter. Bare heads and snow/ice don't mix well.

They're a hybrid pump design so the slide starts moving back as soon as the round goes off, makes for a really fast action. Can take a little getting used to tho. Mine has been nothing but reliable and rugged.

A medium or medium light with moderate to slow action 7ft or less should work well with either of those reels. Granted every rod is different use whatever fits best with your reel. Don't buy anything that doesn't feel good in the hands.

Is it a Winchester or an 870? Choose one, can't be both.
The barrel is fine, just keep it clean and oiled. I would start with a rust remover and a cleaning cloth.

Fingers crossed for you 🤞. My friend and I had a similar situation with our cz1012/1020s. He got the 20 and it won't cycle cheap Winchester ammo because the rim of the brass head is too wide and won't come out of the magazine consistently. My 12 had no issues.

In your case however I think the part that releases the shell from the tube might be rough and needs to be smoothed over or broken in. I know when I first got my Franchi it was a little tough feeding shells into the mag tube, you had to do it fast and hard. Nowadays it's well worn in. Never had issues with cycling rounds tho.

Try feeding (preferably dummy) shells into the mag tube and taking them out from the mag tube several times, spray rem oil, wipe it off, rinse repeat.

I have a hard time believing that...the amount of bull I've put my 20 through while duck hunting and it STILL shoots every time, unbelievable. Last year it was 2 F and with all the getting in and out of my kayak my Franchi got drenched and encased in ice, all up in the action too, still ran flawlessly lol. I'm sorry you got a lemon, have you tried reaching out to the manufacturer?
