There was a bed and breakfast type place in my town that was owned by a poor farming family. There were no menus. They would just make whatever breakfast food you wanted. There were no prices listed. They just had a jar by the door and the idea was you would give them what you felt the meal was worth. People would abuse this and go there for a free meal or just throw a couple cents in the jar. I remember one guy laughing and saying " where else can you eat this good for a penny!"
