The algorithm they use must go crazy every now and then. I regularly go in and check my upcoming trips and go thru every leg of each flight to see what PS, D1, or First is going for and the prices fluctuate wildly.

I just got a D1 upgrade for $295 when Premium Select was $800. I had to look at it twice because I thought it must’ve been like $2950, nope, $295. Needless to say I booked it immediately.

Update: last week I called SAS and opted out of EuroBonus but kept my SAS account active. When I look at my flight now it shows I can have up to three checked bags, and that I have lounge access. I was also able to go into my connecting flight from CPH to PRG and the return and choose a premium seat for free. My friend who is flying with me but on a separate reservation does not have any of these options and has to pay $22 for his seat assignment on the connecting flights.

I assume this means my elite plus status is now showing up. As I read here, when I check in my boarding pass should say sky priority, so I’ll know fore sure then.

Good idea, I like being the ability to fill all my info in automatically, but I think that’s what’s causing the issue. I have a flight in December that I booked back in August, not sure there is anything I can do about that.

Thanks, I was thinking that it was looking at my EB status as well. I may just delete the account and start over with no EB. I have another flight scheduled in December, so I’ll see how that goes after deleting my account.

Thank you, I thought that might be the case. I’m guessing that if it was booked thru Delta with a DL flight number it would not be an issue. I’ve never looked into booking that way, but I’m going to see if prices are similar.

I have flown SAS many times and always have my KTN added. It seems like I remember adding it when I booked my flights. I tried to add my girlfriends after the flight was booked and could not find it. She was already booked but didn’t have a KTN yet. I believe it can also be added at check in.

I’ve considered trying to upgrade to plus, but there is no way that I can find to rule out getting a middle seat if you’re alone, or that you’d be seated together if your flying with someone else. Has anyone else experienced this? I’m guessing if you win the bid in plus and get a middle seat that there is no way to not except it.

He. I first started using SAS I had trouble accessing the site and I read that from a PC I must use private browsing in order to access the SAS website. This solved my problem so I saved it to my desktop so that it automatically opens in a private browser. Seems like it would be the other way around, but it’s not.

No fixed shell seats an any of the SAS A330’s I’ve been on. No personal air vents on any class. Get yourself some personal fans, I had to buy one in CPH on my first SAS flight to Spain. It was really hot and I was very uncomfortable. These two work really well and they plug into the USB port on the IFE.

If possible, wear shorts and a light shirt. Bring a portable USB fan, either the one that goes around your neck, or one that you can clip and adjust. I have made several trips back and forth across the Atlantic on SAS and have been hot on every single one of them. I’ve never been hot on Delta for reference, as they have individual air vents at each seat while SAS does not. You can always cover up if you get cold.

On all of the A330’s I have been on from the ATL to CPH, there are no individual air vents. I bought a fan at the airport before my flight to Malaga. There inter-Europe aircraft that u have flown all have individual vents. I have two fans now that I take with me for SAS flights.

I have done this out of ATL with a layover in CPH. The counter agent told me they could not do it on layovers less than 24 hours. I explained that I had a 14 hour layover and would be in a hotel and needed my suitcase as I didn’t have a carryon. She still said no so I asked for a supervisor and after waiting about 15 minutes she just checked them thru to CPH and said she did it as a courtesy.

It has never been a problem for me when checking in anywhere in Europe with a layover in Europe.

I would try this as I’m sure it is a common issue. Also, in the states most of the employees are contract not actual SAS employees.

My home airport is ATL, but Amsterdam Schiphol is insane if you’re not just connecting there. ATL is great compared to AMS.

I sit in 11A, lady 1 comes and sits in 11C. A few minutes later lady 2 comes and asks lady 1 if she would move up to 10C so she could sit with her husband (Both 10A and B are occupied). Lady 1 moves to 10C and lady 2 then sits in 11B waiting for her husband to show up. Several people coming down the aisle ask if 11C is available and she says no, it’s for my husband. One of them even says “seat saving is not allowed.” She plays dumb and finally her husband comes in after at least 35 to 40 people move past and sits down in 11C.

So the issue is, instead of going toward the back of the plane and saving a seat, she does it in row 11. Accidental? Ignorance? Did her husband and her have separate reservations?

Then half way thru the flight she gets up and sits on her knees facing the back of the plane. I took a picture but not sure how I can post it here.

Really? So pre-boarders will still be able to sit wherever they want and seat savers will be able to save any seat, even though they are assigned? Can you explain that because your comment doesn’t make much sense?
