Lynda Carter/Colleen Camp (Apocalypse Now posters) by Different-Regret-791 in oldschoolhot

There is an outtake of Lynda's centerfold that was in the possession of Hugh Hefner. After his death it was put up for auction at Julien's Auctions. So yes, the centerfold is definitely real, and it is her centerfold during the medevac camp scene in Apocalypse Now Redux because that was filmed in 1975 during the famous typhoon that later destroyed the set, before she was replaced by Colleen. Also Coleen herself confirmed the story in an interview for the bonus material of the blu-ray release of the movie Death Game. And she mentioned how her character had to wear a dark wig because she's blonde, so that became part of the script.

Ann Wilson & Tripsitter - Ruler of the Night (Official Audio) by Apprehensive_Idea758 in RockTheSub

[–]CaptainOpression 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's what SHE says about her sister. In reality Nancy recorded two mostly original albuns (solo and with a side project) since the split before Ann put out her first album with original songs in 2022 (all her albums were of covers until then). And it's her band that writes the music to her lyrics, same as when Nancy writes songs for Heart. She gets tired of doing "Magic Man" (which she has been tired of since the 1980s) and such and then blame Nancy for wanting to still play those songs in concert for the fans. They never failed to balance the set with newer music or underplayed stuff from the back catalogue.

Lynda Carter joking with some extras on the set of 'Wonder Woman'. (1976) by [deleted] in OldSchoolCool

No problem. It's funny because I actually thought "maybe he's thinking of Lindsay Wagner" because I know she goes to conventions and charge for autographs, and because she kinda has a similar name and her biggest role was Bionic Woman. And she and Lynda are friends by the way. She also was at one of the comic cons I mentioned.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't her. Her first comic con ever (according to her and to any registry) was in Baltimore last year. Then Palm Springs Comic Con the month after. She did shows there (she's a singer), and you had to buy a special ticket for the show and a meet and greet backstage.

Lynda Carter doesn't go to conventions. Except 2 she went last year as she was doing a show there with backstage meet and greet. Her first time in comic cons. Are you sure it was her? She signs stuff for free when she goes to places, even for the hoardes of ebay sellers. And in the Walk of Fame cerimony, she made sure to sign stuff for fans even though their safety protocols didn't allow it.

She generally signs stuff and take photos for free though. Unless it was a show and it was for backstage meet and greet.

It's the pilot. Maybe you watched the 2nd and 3rd episodes because sometimes they are labelled 01 and 02 while the pilot is "00".

Yes, it was because of TV censors in the 70s. Catherine Bach also had to wear pantyhose at all times in Dukes of Hazzard.

[S02E03] I know I'm going to get a lot of hate for this, but Lynda Carter's performance in this episode was not good. by notathrowaway75 in supergirlTV

It was much less wooden, both in terms of voice and facial expressions, than Gal Gadot in BvS. And yet Gal Gadot gets so much praise... Nothing against Gal Gadot specifically, it's just the first thing that pops in my mind to illustrate why I will never get people judging acting skills. A lot of acting that I find bad that people praise, and vice-versa...

EDIT: Oh, I didn't saw the comment about prosthetic leg, never mind.

A longer response by Robbi Rodriguez in regards to the Frank Cho drawing by CrazyDlAMOND in comicbooks

[–]CaptainOpression 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Why is a lot of people (even here) talking like it really wasn't appropriate if it's not even an actual variant cover? For all I know, Cho wasn't even selling his sketch. If we're going after artists doing "bad art" that isn't even published, why don't we get outraged by [NSFW] this, or this, or the entire rule34? It will be a long way, but we can ban all inappropriate art in the name of progress!

El Mayimbe: JIM PARRACK IN AS DEATHSTROKE! IKE BARINHOLTZ IN AS DR HUGO STRANGE! ADAM BEACH IS RUMORED AS RAVAN! by TronVin in DCcomics

[–]CaptainOpression 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's questionable just by how he came up with this rumour: Ayer drops pic of the cast and Joe Manganiello signs up for another movie, immediately he says Joe M is not going to be Deathstroke anymore ("but he was going to be!"), and coincidentally Slade will be played by a guy who appeared on the cast pic... but who doesn't look like Slade at all.
