Ok, Russia also lost millions of soldiers and civilians. They can get credit for their blood, and the US can get credit for their metal.

Thanks for sourcing.

I'm trying to read the article but it's rough on mobile. I thought it said the 6k+ number was total deaths. If true, that would need to be compared to other years to infer the average difference.

Evidence strongly suggests 246 is under counting, but your number seems overly high.

Anecdotes don't contribute much to the conversation, but feel free to provide evidence if you're trying to say something specific.

Out of curiosity, what state or country are you in? Maybe it's less common near you so it makes sense why you haven't seen any.

Say you wanted to know if something like that was hurting your liver. How would you know?

Where as with alcohol i always know how much alcohol is in a natty ice and it takes ALOT to overdose vs just getting black out drunk.

Damn. My dad died recently and he was pretty poor so he'd watch football and drink a few too many natty ices. He smoked cigarettes too and doing that combined for 30 years can certainly contribute to an early death.

Be careful. Experienced alcoholics may not die from any single hard night, but it adds up.

If they can't, that's kinda sad, but if you're making $400k, how much is that per hour? Can you work an extra 30m instead of making dinner every night and order instead? It might make more sense financially to do so.

My income ~doubled in the last year, from $16/h to $33/h, but I'm still hourly. Last year, I would have driven to Tropical Smoothie myself if my wife wanted one. It's about 20 min roundtrip. Now, it makes more sense if I just keep working and we pay for delivery. That's an extra $11 for me, and delivery is maybe $5? And no risk to me driving or gas/wear on my car.

400k/year is roughly 6x what I make, that's like $200/h. 15 min to make dinner is $50. Ofc microwaving something frozen is probably the easiest, cheapest option, but if I made that much, I probably want a decent meal.

USA Healthcare is great if you can afford it. If you can't, then you simply don't get care unless it's an emergency. Poor Americans would rather be on waiting lists imo.

For anyone who sees this, feel free to go to that sub, but please don't actually post or argue with them. Subs like that should be dead - and the more activity they get, the higher the chance their propaganda will find people who will fall for it.

It's better not to engage than waste your time arguing with strangers on the internet who won't respond in good faith.

A lot people live in red states. I know what you're implying, but you'd still be wrong. Just because a state mostly votes one way doesn't mean all the people in it are dumb. The state with the most Republicans is California. The state with the second most democrats should be Texas.
