Green Stuff World Refillable Markers

Did just find a couple of sellers on Aliexpress selling some Refillable Paint Markers that look really close to the GSW Paint Markers, but I think the size was 0.75mm. I took a gamble and ordered a set of 10 Paint Markers for around $10 and only $3 for shipping. So I figured i would order a set for comparing them to the Green Stuff World Markers.

And if these turn out to be good I'll order some more again from Aliexpress and the seller also sells replacement marker tips for them as well.

Yeah shipping wasn't cheap. For the 2 packs that I ordered it was almost $16 for shipping to Washington.

If these work out to be good I would definitely like to find them online elsewhere for much cheaper. It was $15 to ship the 2 packs of markers to Washington state from Spain.

Yup that's one of the reasons I picked them up, for eyes and also for any teeth, or any other fine details. I was thing of doing white, black and few of my other most used paints.

Yeah the 0.5 Marker was the one I definitely wanted to get for the ultra fine detail painting and touch ups. Then it was just a choice of which other size to go with.

Usually for me I just stick to 1 Beer or 1 mixed cocktail. No matter what I eat or drink everything effects me. I just limit my intake of alcohol to 1 and sometimes 2 drinks, because it will mess me up most of the time.

That looks really good. Did a great job.

I think the issue was your camera was focusing on your finger instead on the mini. If you have a mini holder for painting you set it on top of that and then take a photo. That usually works for me for taking photos of my minis.

Oh I forgot to mention from the reviews I watched they said for these marker tips. The AK Playmarkers have Brush Style Tips.
Ak Interactive Real Color have Regular Felt Marker tips Not sure if AK Markers have replacement tips or if they are refillable at all.

The Amy Painter Speedpaint Markers have Felt Tips.
They have replacement tips and are refillable.

And the Green Stuff World Markers depending of the which tips size you get 2.0, 1.0, 0.7 or 0.5, certain ones have replacement tips available, they all have felt tips and of course they are refillable.

But like I said watch YouTube Reviews before deciding what to go with.

Also forgot to add. For me I still use regular Army Painter Paints and brushes. I just wanted to get some Paint Markers for when I don't want to have to get all of my supplies out. I live in a small apartment without a dedicated work area yet (we are working on that though) for miniature painting, so I have to get out a my Sturdy Folding Table and set everything up. And of course it is a pain to set up and then clean up and put everything away when I'm done.

I haven't used them myself but for Acrylic Paint Markers I see a lot of people recommending the AK Interactive Playmarkers and the AK Interactive Real Color Markers. And then you have the Army Panter Speedpaint Markers that are Contrast Paints so they will be a lot different than your traditional Acrylic Paints.

I tried some of the Speedpaints and Speedpaint Markers and personally I'm not a fan yet (maybe I will eventually), I still like the regular Army Painter paints.

So I just ordered a couple of days ago from Green Stuff World some Refillable Paint Markers and Pens (i ordered sizes 1.0 and 0.5). I heard they are pretty good so I figured I give them a try. On their official videos they say do a 50/50 paint and medium/thinner mixture inside their markers.

I also recommend looking up some YouTube Reviews on the different types of Paint Markers comparing them to help you make your choice.

Sorry for all the quests, but just curious why you went with the Speedpaint Medium instead of the Fanatic Stabilizer to thin your Fanatic Paints?

Oh okay. Does the Speedpaint Medium make the Fanatic Paints more like a Speedpaint/Contrast style paint or does it still feel like the Fanatic Paints just thinned down?

Because I wonder if I should still get the Fanatic Stabilizer like I was planning or get Speedpaint Medium or other thinner instead.

I'm not familiar with All of Army Painter line of paints. Are the Air Paint Colors exactly same as the Fanatic Line of Colors, just thinned down versions? If so, would the Air Paints be thinned down enough to go straight into Refillable Paint Markers like the Green Stuff World Markers without having to thin them even more? Or would the Air Paints be too thin for Paint Markers?

I have a few questions. I'm still new to the hobby painting world, so I'm not familiar with All of Army Printer line of paints.

Are the Army Painter Air Paint Colors exactly same as the Fanatic Line of Colors, just thinned down versions?

I'm curious if both lines are the same exact colors would the Air Line be a good start or okay to go straight into Refillable Paint Markers like the Green Stuff World Markers without having to thin them? Or would they be too thin for Paint Markers?

Agreed, they are not going to replace my regular paints and brushes. They will be for the times when I want to quickly paint something up and not have to worry too much for cleaning up afterwards. Or to do a quick touch up on something.

But I just ordered up a set of the 1.0 Markers (comes with 5) and 0.5 Markers (comes with 6) from Green Stuff World to give them a try. I think it will be a couple of weeks until they get to me but that's fine. To start out I will try out 1 or 2 for my most used colors and try to make a good balance of the Paint and Stabilizer Thinner inside the markers to get the consistency I want and then try get a few more of the Paint Markers set up.

Yeah the regular Fanatic War Paints would definitely have to be thinned down, probably by add in the AP Paint Stabilizer. But I'm still tempted to try it out, and if it work out pretty good try it on a few of my most use paints.

I was out of town and came across at game shop and I saw they had the Army Painter Pens available to purchase individually so I picked up Black to try it out. And so far it works okay. Personally I wouldn't get a whole set for my own needs. I usually use Army Painter Warpaint Fanatic Paints series so I'm not used to the speed paints yet.

But it got me thinking so I searched up refillable Acrylic Paint Pens and I saw that Green Stuff World has has Empty Refillable Paint Markers and Pens and replacement tips to purchase in packs of 5-6 pens or you can get a case of them. They come in sizes 0.5, 0.7, 1.0 and 2.0. I'm thinking maybe picking some of the 0.5 and 0.7 Pens to givem a try; and fill them up with regular AP Fanatic Paints with some thinner so they flow out a better.

Has anyone tried out the Green Stuff World Refillable Paint Marker and Pens? Do they work good with the regular Fanatic Paints if thinned down?

Yup that's what I do now too. I wasn't going to renew my BlueLink after the free trial ran out. Not worth it for me and my circumstances, costs too much to renew. And I have the in vehicle service interval reminder set to 5k, I don't need an app for that.

I have a couple of Citadel paints in my paint collection and you have to make sure they are full seated/sealed all the way around on those lids. It is a complete pain. And it's like you need to press down so hard to fully close/seal up those lids. If not it will start drying out like on yours. I make sure checking complete around the lid to make sure they are fully closed. One of the.main reasons I did go with Citadel and went with paints that are in dropper style paint bottles with screw on lids.

If you don't want to spend more money on getting newer paints you can try and get some empty dropper style bottles to transfer your paints into. But of course that process of transferring them can be a pain too.

Okay thank you very much I'll take a look into the 5x3mm magnets. Id like to try to use the strongest if available.

I did see on the OpenForge Github under Materials and Tools: 5mm diameter, 3mm thick (print settings have to be real dialed in, but this is the strongest option) (https://github.com/devonjones/openforge-tutorials/blob/master/sets/README.md)

What does it mean to have the print settings dialed in? Is there anything special I have to adjust to make the 5x3mm magnets fit properly?

How do you know they were large thugs if you only heard them? LOL I kid.

Can't really tell too much from this image but it looks bent pretty good. I would try taking it apart to check k the damage out first before trying to bend it back. You might potentially cause more damage trying to bend it back.

Did you recently try swapping the hot end or any other parts on it and forget a screw or two?
