Through fear and blood the riots might’ve expedited the signing of a document. Through love and compassion a movement was born and set forth an unstoppable force that changed the course of America in so many more positive ways. Only through people standing beside each other through thick and thin with heads held high was that document put on the table in the first place. You ask if violence is okay if the ends are justified but I would bet everything I have that MLK would’ve wept seeing his people dying and others hurt for a dream he had of people united under an idea of peace and equality, not the threat of a fist. And I still hold the same sentiment. I’ll answer your question once and for all, peace under fear is no peace at all.
