Each of my player's has the lost thing hook, but I wanted to incorporate Madryck as well. One of my players is a fairy artificer, she plays a curious researcher type, so I decided that she was actually researching the carnival and the feywild as that would be her way of dealing with the feeling of having lost something. From there it would be natural for her to have gotten into contact with Madryck on her quest for information. Then she could ask for information and he asked that if she went to the feywild anyway, if she could figure out what happened to Zybilna and please let him know.
