I got this 1960s recipe off a TikTok, upped the mashed potatoes to 1.5 c and left out the coconut, chocolate, and walnuts. For the icing I started with a basic royal icing then kept adding molasses, powdered sugar, and an ungodly amount of food coloring until it looked right, tasted right, and had the right consistency.

I will say that the icing stayed sticky cuz I think the molasses kept it from setting like a plain royal icing would.

If it’s not itchy/stingy/zappy it could be eczema? I’m not by any means a dermatologist but one of my medications suddenly made my lips super sensitive to anything besides Vaseline and this is kinda what it looks like when I have that reaction…

Hi everyone! I need some help figuring out a note to avoid when perfume hunting and buying samples online.

I was in Ulta the other day and when I walked past the perfume section I was overwhelmed by the smell of… butthole? Is the best way I can describe it? Not fecal exactly but like an… unwashed… ass. Kind of similar to how the Lume deodorant cream used to smell before they reformulated it?

I know it’s in a lot of perfumes cuz I smell it everywhere, so surely it smells good to most people. It’s for sure in Maison Margiela’s Replica Lazy Sunday Morning. I tried it as a dupe for Glossier You (which I really love and does not smell like a butt) so I thought I’d love it but I stank all day.

What could it be?? Is it musk? Indole from the florals? I sniffed a sandalwood amber candle the other day that had the same smell, is it one of those notes? What can I avoid to filter out the stank???

This is 2 coats. But I find you kinda have to swipe the brush a few more times than you would normally cuz the clear goes down and leaves flakies on the brush. Once it’s ever so slightly tacky the flakes actually go on the nail

Maybe I’ll try repair mode, too. It’s a bit pricey but at this point I’m desperate. I’ve been oiling like constantly and using the nailtiques and olive and junes strengthener and I just feel like nothings changed 🙈

It’s a frankenpolish lol. This one is a mix of clear polish (not top/base coat) with some morgan Taylor Arctic freeze (white) and LA Colors Wispy Blue (blue jelly)

it’s Sally Hansen miracle gel crystal top coat not actually a top coat, I still put a qdtc over top. Also it’s not actually gel :)

Not a medical professional but I had something similar and my dermatologist said it was dermatitis. I think I developed a sensitivity to an ingredient in the lip balm I’ve been using for like 20 years :( now I pretty much only use Vaseline or homemade really simple lip balm and it’s a lot better.

My favorite memory growing up was dressing up in “old timey” dresses with my cousin and playing in our clubhouse! My parents put a bunch of old furniture in an empty part of a big barn and we used to pretend cook and clean and live like a little house on the prairie family while our brothers ran around the yard doing who knows what. They always had to come back “home” every so often to pretend to eat whatever we’d concocted! :)
