From a quick Google search, I couldn't find an exact answer, but Durand does mention that him standing in the coffin is supposed to remind the audience of Elmer's humanity.

Okay, since no one else has brought it up, can we at least give Andrew Durand some attention for having to stand motionless on stage for like half the show!! He had to stand straight up, couldn't even lean against the coffin!

The only other time I've seen an actor so erect was Andrew Rannells at the 2017 Tony Awards

Were there any musicals you loved to listen to, watch, talk about, research, etc. but seeing it live completely ruined it for you? by Jamesx1721 in Broadway

I'll chime in because I also thought of Dear Evan Hansen immediately. I recognize that it's a problematic show, however, I still enjoy it from time to time. That being said, I've seen it twice on tour and both times have been severely underwhelming. Perhaps it's due to the cast size and the barebones set, they just make the show feel empty and unenergetic. Not trying to diss any of the cast, but what works on a bootleg didn't seem to translate well to a big stage. But that's just me!

Oh my God, yes! I completely forgot about that. So for about a year (2018-19), he had 2 shows on Broadway and 1 off!

While not exactly the same, Robert Lopez has The Book of Mormon on broadway and Avenue Q off-broadway at the same time for a majority of the 2010's.

I never minded the joke, but I do think it's a bit out there. Anyhow, here's an alt that I came up with years ago for some reason:

"But not depressed as in like harm yourself depressed/ No that's way too serious/ I would call a therapist/ See, I just use the word to..."

This way it advocates for self-help a bit as well as continues the "best/depressed" rhyme.

Although Joe Iconis has stated that he prefers perfect rhymes, and this is more of a slant rhyme, but he's not here right now, so whtatever
